xlr8tin you should get the wheels that YOU want.
None of us are driving your car so what do you care what other people think?
Pick your favourite wheel, buy them , mount them and enjoy!

xlr8tin, posting all those wheel pics may be moot! Regardless of style you like you will have a very difficult time finding staggered fitments and a wheel that will fit up front. The W210 E55 is a hard car to fit 8.5 inch rims up front with proper offset and you will have to use a 235 width tire. You may have to special order some custom forged rims and a 8.5 width may require an offset between et25 and et28. All those 8.5 et35 rims using a 245 width tire will not work on an W210 E55.

AMG Monoblocks are the only way to go if you like full-faced wheels. Big problem there is that almost the entire segment is far too heavy for performance-minded drivers. I would go with a classier look on a W210 because it IS an older body style and rather than looking "hood rich" you want to look like a connoisseur and not a wanna-be. Isn't there an AMG monoblock with exposed bolts?? I'd REALLY go for that.

Most of the wheels I've posted up here come with a 235 tire. So I realize that. I don't feel I need to go wider. Is a .5 inch really gonna make that much of a difference?

Again though, please honest opinions...no need to be hatefull guy. I don't have all the money and common sense that you all may posses.

This is what I don't want to look like. This is not me, so get that out of your head.

I don't think those wheels look good on these model E's. I don't think it looks nice with the rotors and brakes in this case. And mine are less appealing than these. Am I wrong...or just talking to myself??

I hope who ever's car this is is not on here. If he is sorry...don't hate the player

hahahahaha! It's like that dude went to ebay and searched for "W210" and when the search results came up on the screen said to himself, "I'll take one of everything."

Gawd that car looks terrible. I want to buy it just to nurse it back to health, take it back to stock, and then release it back into the wild.

Well said! I like it when he said, "Nighthawk pearl black Mercedes that has been seriously pampered." And he says he wants to upgrade to a CLK. Poor car. No clue to what in store.

How about some 19" Lowenhart LDR's? Does anyone know where I can find a good place to get them that aren't too expensive? Or is anyone on here selling their's?

Hey guys...do any of you know anything about these wheels?

Like too heavy, or might not fit?

Thoughts??

I do know that the offset is 32 front 38 rear. I believe they will at least fit up front with these numbers.

Disclaimer: I'm only posting this because you asked for opinions in your first post. If you didn't ask for opinions, I would not post this.

No one is objecting to particular models of these wheels, it's that style in general that they are objecting to. Those manufactures seem to think that
BIG + CHROME = AWESOME WHEEL.

Dude, no offense, you seem to have your heart set on getting some 19-20" chrome DUB/BALLER/D-Boy/Hip-Hop wheels. It's like you are waiting for us to say, "Yeah, those will look awesome." But, most won't because most don't think those wheels will be better than your stock wheels.

The vast majority of the members here that are modding cars are into the Euro Tuner look (Brabus, Carlsson, HRE, Lorinser...) or the Stock Tuned look (AMG)

If you want to reduce the gap between the wheel and your fender, you do it by upgrading to sport springs not by buying 20s.

If you want your car to ride, corner, or stop better 19s or 20's are not the answer.

If you want a fast car, big chrome 19s and 20s don't make your car faster. It's my opinion that 18s are fastest and handle best on your car. That's why AMG designed them especially for that car.

One last thing, not everyone that gives attention to cars with big huge chrome wheels is thinking, "Man, that car is awesome." When I'm looking, I'm thinking quite the opposite.

You have a great car as a platform to modify. Every mod doesn't make a car better. Choose carefully.

Also, check out the W210 gallery and let us know what cars you like in there and we (or the owners) can probably tell you what they did to get that look.

Sorry to write so much.

No man, that's totally understandable. I see...it's hard to explain what I'm thinking. I DO NOT want 20's though.

Yes, I kinda want the 19's for a bigger look. But I don't live in Cally, or anyother rich part of the big cities. Not saying that all of you do...but come on look at what most of you drive. I have a 2000 E55...it's all I can afford right now. I'm not poor, but I'm starting a family and puting money into a car is not the way to go. I'm trying to pay of debt that I was stupid to accrue. But I can't leave the E55 stock.

I like the AMG wheels that I have, but it's not different. When I see these HRE, Brabus, Carlsson and others like them...they seem too sporty, like they belong on a BMW. Those cars handle and perform pretty good. I see these "big chrome wheels" as more of a luxury wheel. Not all of coarse, but some.

I've posted some nice wheels that no one liked...that's fine. That just means noone would put them on their car...that's fine. I guess I am wrong because everyone feels the same way as you do. But thank you for your opinion. It just gives me a better out look.

I like most of the wheels I see on the newer E55, which maybe someday I will have, and than we can do this again. But these wheels don't look the same on my old E55. But hey, I'm still gonna move forward and shoot for the best.

I'm still open for opinions that anyone esle would like to bring up. Thanks!

I've seen the Mandrus on several benzes here in florida and they look great. Look way more expensive than they are and look hot in chrome or silver. They have that multi-piece look down pat. They are made by TSW which is a reputable company with racing history.
