Exclamation Key keys fob

I need a new key for my car. Do any of you guys know if you can reprogram the keys that I see on ebay and if so how to reprogram them. Or should I just go bend over at the dealer once again.

No... don't waste your money. The key must be programmed at stealership. You could go to oempartsdirect.com and order one from there. The 2007 chrome key should work just fine... the cost is about $100.

I tried the ebay route myself. Bought 2 keys and took them to the dealer. They definitely cannot be reprogrammed by the dealer. They also told each car can have a max of 8 keys for it. After that the electronic brain has to be replaced . Now that's a dumb design!

I hope I never get to number 8 !!!!! I am pretty sure my car has only had two keys so far,one lost and one broken ,I just got off the phone with the stealer and they said $200 should get me one key but I had to purchase in person and then return to pick it up when it comes in. Thing is the closest stealer to me is about an hour away so I guess I will end up with 4 hours of drive time plus $200 bux and gas for one key !!!!!!!! Life is great! Damn I miss my corvette..............

Try oempartsdirect.com. It's cheaper and I think you just need to fax your registration and copy of title as proof of ownership.

06 E55, 03FORD P/S,01 E320-4M,99 ML320,O4 E55,05 RUBICON UNLIMITED,
You Have 24 Keys Total For The Car. 3 Sets Of 8, No Programming Is Needed, All You Have To Do Is Stick The Key In The Ign., Observe The Red Led, Once It Goes Out, Reomve Then Reinstall The Key And All Should Be Well. If You Use All 24 Keys Then You Will Have To Replace The Eis,esl, And Me As Well As All The Mechanical Locks On The Car. The Only Keys That Need Programming Are The 163 Ml's And All Keyless Go Key's(the Kg Part Of It, Not The Smart Key). Hope This Unconfuses You, No Keys Off Of Ebay Will Work, All Keys Are Vin Specific Due To Security. Order A Key From The Dealer Then Plug It In, If They Order It Wrong It's On Them, Don't Forget To Order A Blade Key As They Do Not Come With The Remote, Cheers.

someone reporting that this place sells for $50 but I am unable to substantiate
whether it's an official MB dealer like I did with OEMpartsdirect/Hammersley...
so be careful.

I think $120 is a great deal considering I just paid $212 for one from the stealership. I am about to go over there to pick it up now. Well I guess I should not have been in such a hurry, but my one key I had was acting up , sometimes the remote would work and sometimes not. I put new batteries in it but didnt help.
