thinking about selling my 01 E55 AMG? $18,800?
I've had my E55 for a year now and it's time to move on to something else.. lol
If you know anyone interested in a really great condition 01 E55 (brilliant silver/black) with 75k miles, please forward this to them. Car is absolutely running great, no CEL or no warning lights (except for SOS teleaid), everything works, and of course it pulls like no other!
I've put some $ into her, got Service B done, Mobil1 engine oil only, coolant service with OEM MB coolant, new MAF, repaired all pixels on instrument cluster, and fixed small rust spot on trunk. No eating/drinking, clean title, and hand washing only. 2 keys/all books & manuals.
I've priced the car to move at only $18,800. Need a quick sale, would like to see her go to a good home. Is that price reasonable do you think? Nearest W210 for sale around here is a white 99 with 75k miles for $21,700 (private sale).
Please let me know if you have questions. I'm in Ann Arbor, MI. Oh and I also have really good looking 18inch wheels & Pirelli snow tires. Thanks!

'04 Silverado Z71 - sold all my Benzes and need another!
Yup, just sold mine and waiting for the deposit to hit me today! I sold her because it was time to move to another Benz, hopefully if the deal works out. I'll mod that one and see how long I hang onto it before moving to something else, lol.
What's next ProV1, another Benzo?! Good luck on the sale and ebay sure helped A LOT for me!

you were asking more than you paid for it? a year afterwards?
i thought you just bought it last year for 17k
i must be missing something but i don't really see the "steal" in that
specially since it's a midwest car

2001 E55K
I think it's more than a fair price. I seem to recall he paid about 17k on eBay for a car that needed some TLC. Now's he's got it all worked out and is asking roughly the same price. I think that's a good deal for someone.

Too bad to see another W210 owner want to sell. I tried the same thing as many probably remember. I went as low as $16000 on here. I eventually even went to $15K. No one wanted it.
So believe me when I say, I wish you the best of luck.

hey guys, thanks to all for your input. i paid about ~$18.5k last year after it was all said & done, and like jeff mentioned above, i put in some $$$ to iron a few quirks out.
i realize these cars depreciate like cr@zy. i figured i'd put up a number, especially since i haven't bought a replacement yet. if i had another ride in the garage, i would change the price accordingly and put up a decent for sale ad.
btw i cant wait til the *****ty snow melts and the summer Dunlop rubbers get mounted

Sorry you tired of the car....I've had mine for about a year now...still enjoying what I got for the $$$!
I have owned over 40 cars in my life, so I understand how it is when "you get the bug" to get another car. The difference this time with my '99 E55 is that I just can not come up with any other 'performance car' that provides me with so much...so affordably.
While there may be a few true sport sedans out there that will out perform these W210 AMG cars....they all cost an arm and a leg. The look of this car is timeless....the people who know what these cars are appreciate them...however, the general public is clueless as to what these cars can do. I don't drive a car to impress the 'Honda Accord crowd' however.
I wish you luck getting the most possible $$$ for your car...sounds like its in pretty decent shape. I'd try a high performance consignment lot or a collector's car magazine posting. Someone looking for one of these will recognize your's has relatively low mileage.
Just a couple days ago....I blew the doors completely off an Audi S4...did over 145 mph while getting on the freeway... before I looked down to see how fast I was going! Not too many $20k cars out there that can reach that kind of speed as you merge into traffic on a California freeway onramp! What a car....
