My mods.
Had to share my excitment. Since getting the car this time last year I have done no mods at all. Today I did the XPipe mod but manufactued my own from stainless steel as we find it difficult to get them in the UK and what a difference it makes. So now I have no resonator and no primary CATS. The sound is peeeerfect!!
Tomorrow I am booked in for K&N filters, sprintbooster, maybe ECU ReMap and 4 wheel alignment as I am having trouble with the car pulling and the ESP.
I am looking forward to the difference and will post my experiences.

Hi there from a fellow E55'd Brit.
You mention 'pulling and the ESP'.
My 00' E55 seems to have a weird problem like that. When I pull out of my drive turning sharp right or left the ESP always seems to kick in no matter how gently I feather the throttle. There is also a slight delay with the accelerator pedal.
Would a 4 wheel alignment sort this out?
Has anybody got any idea's???

Nice! Post your results Wayne and welcome back!
E55DC, mine did it all the time but only after I lowered the car due to the negative camber and less tire on the pavement. The torque on these cars as you know is really high too so even a light tap on the pedal will cause slipping. Is you car lowered or stock height? You might have your alignment checked and see if your camber is negative but a little negative camber is great for handling...

Well what I meant was it was pulling to the left. THis is the reason I had the 4 wheel alignment. Mercedes quoted £270 for this which included the camber kit but I got it done at CKSPerformance for £95. No camber kit though and I think she needs it as they couldnt get it perfect. They have however got it a lot better.
Also I was hoping it would cure a problem I had with the ESP. Every time I went round a right bend or a roundabout (something you guys in the states dont have I believe) my ESP light would come on and I would feel the back left wheel braking even though I was at low speed and no skid at all. The 4 wheel alignment has cured this thank god and my theory was correct. My steering wheel was a little to the left when I travelled in a straight line.
Anyway all is well.
I had the mods done yesterday too and what a difference. The ECU seems to have got used to the XPipe and the K&N's seem to have made a difference too. The sprintbooster however will fix the accelerator response and is a fantastic mod that I highly recommend. Hope I dont have any problems with it. (had a bit of fun with a M5 on the way home)
I am waiting for a little more cash for the ECU re-map which they claim will give me 18 more horses.
How much extra power do you guys think my mods so far will have given me? Torque as well.
By the way where in england are you E55DC??

yes loads of interest.... main concern of everyone has been MPG...... but if you have to ask its not for you!!
apart from that looks like im going to do a deal on a CL500.. aim to keep that for a bit then il go for something that i can get some decent power out of!!.
dont get me wrong the E55 is quite rapid considering the size it is But im just getting bored of it!!

Yeah I know what you mean. The C43 is much more fun in my opinion. Much prefer belting it round corners than thrashing in a straight line. I just dont have the confidence on corners with th E55.
CL's are nice and you should have a good few months of pleasurable driving.
