Hi folks

I'm after a passenger side front fog lamp lens (UK 1999 E55 AMG estate), after another car's exhaust system fell off and into my path! It's the rounded type, fitted to the AMG front bumper.

Can folk recommend a UK supplier? I would consider aftermarket if it was compelling on price and quality and replace the lot.

The lens is not a replaceable item, You will have to buy a complete fog lamp assembly. In the US they cost $178. to $250. Mine melted cause I used a PIAA bulb. BTW they look round but they are not. Just to clarify matters, are the fogs for my '99 E55 fitted to any other Mercedes models? I see a reference to 'Sport' bumpers and for what models, or are they used on other bumpers too?

I think the 98-02 CLK W208 use the same fog light.

They certainly look round to me but others have suggested this is not the case? It does seem a shame to have to replace the whole unit - have others tried to replace just the glass?

I obtained a used fog lamp assembly from Prestige Allparts, Rochdale, via the 247spares.co.uk website.

The cost was 65 GBP, inc. vat and delivery.
