335i burned

Got a nice kill story here. 2 young asian cats driving real slow on a one way suburban road in a 2 door 335i with modded exhaust. The road opens to two lanes so I move right to pull ahead and they cut me off and continue to drive slow. By slow I mean 25-30 in a 35 zone.

I have my woman in the car so I just let it go since a right turn on to a 3 lane expressway was coming up and I could pass them there if they went the same direction or turned left/went straight instead. They make the right turn into the far left lane (same direction as I need to go) and I make a right turn into the middle lane. There is nobody on the road. I'm about 3-4 car lengths back so I put down half throttle up to 3k rpm on the gas to pass them up.

I had almost caught up and was about to pass when these jackasses decide to floor it too thinking they were gonna burn the benz. I wasn't expecting it since they were driving so slow, but as soon as they put 1 to 1.5 car lengths on me I stomped it. They were ahead until about 65-70 when he had to shift. As soon as he shifted I shot by and kept on walking away until I hit about 100. He slowed way down after that. I slow down because the next light turned yellow. He pulled up to me a little later and little further back than my window while I was stopped at the light.

I looked over and he and his friend had these huge **** eating grins on their faces. The driver seemed cool after he got smoked so I threw him a .

He did not try to take me when the light turned green.

The best part is my woman who knows nothing about cars asks "why did those guys think they could beat you?" Damn I love that girl!

Nice kill!

I also took one on the highway when I had the E55. He was slowly following an E63 as they passed me. By slowly I mean the E63 was flying, and the 335 was 10 or so cars lengths behind.

BMW
maybe the guy in the 335 can't drive stick?

good kill tho, those things boogie.

funny it seems like 75% of bmw 3er drivers around my neck of the woods always drive like they have something to prove. love the car, but some of the drivers around here make me sick. oh, and don't forget G35 drivers as well (not all, but some), same type of douchebags, different car.

ah... The smell of victory... Luv it! ... My S500 was fast but this is a whole different animal.. A G35 was giving me the let's race on the highway and this was after the fact I was in one of those "who wants to race" so long story short I decided to try the hold shifter far left and it will down shift to the proper gear and change at red line... Sure enough it dropped to 3rd and went red line before changing to 4th gear.. all I can remember was hitting 120 in matter of sec. from 65.. The G35 was no where in Sight........... as I slowed down back to 60ish he finally showed up on my rear view mirror...

Playboy said it best (this months edition) if you see the AMG decal it's not your average joe car.

I actually had a 335i loaner for about a week when my X3 was in the shop for warranty repair work. The car was nice, but it did feel 'lazier' than the E55 because of the lower amount of torque that it puts out. That said, the 335 definitely flies once it gets going. I would still prefer the E55 any day because the interior is approximately 23049283042934 times better. BMW 3-series and X3 interior is really week...

Just wait until he past his break in period on his engine..Those 335i TT will give your E55 a run for your money. My cousin have an 08 and he drive like my grandmother during the brake in period I couldn't even shake him in another 355i that he test drived. He drove it like it was stolen it

there this guy that work in my department and he just bought a brand new spanking new M6. He very temping to to give me a run for my money but I know he wouldn't push it hard during the break in period. Each morning he just smile and tell me to just wait and see buddy. I know for sure I'm getting my aasswhip later but For now i just screw with him alittle as blow pass him honking my horn

Sleepers,

You have a lot more patience than me. If those two idiots were playing that silly little game with me I probably would have gotten out of the car at that stoplight and kicked one or both of their As**s !!!

I don't see why your so worried about a 335i ...with your kleeman setup...you should have a solid mid 12 sec car. A 335i runs mid 13's...you should SPANK him with "0" problems...The M6 runs low 12's that might be another story....close, but he might edge you out....try to get the jump on him!

Did you take pics of your new wheels on your car yet? I found a set like your new ones but they are 20's, I would really like to find a set of 19's like that.

No worry..just saying those car are pretty quick.

as for the wheel, yes they are the same type of wheel. They do not make them in 19". I have to use a 3mm spacer on the rear also need to fine someone to roll the fender to clear the 285/25/20 on a 10" width. Right now it off the car because when I take off hard it swat and it rub the rear fender.

I Just bought a fender roller, I'll try to get it rolled this weekend if i'm not working.

Peter be careful when your rolling the fenders... You don't want to chip the paint on the fenders... happen to me with my 99 E430 even tho I took it to a Shop

3 Series..pfft... I wouldn't even sweat it, I would take that challenge on all day......... besides it's not how fast your car is..... it's the driver that wins the race.....

I emailed the company in Cali that sells those wheels, they don't have 19's. 20's and our cars just don't get along....I will say, if you have the Rear ET of 42 that's most of your problem. (I got that info from the company)

I'd say you were lucky. Driven properly the 335i would've beaten the E55, even in a straight line.

S500
yea it is a pleasant suprise, while I own a s500 now, my car before it was a e46 330ci, and they were pretty quick, now these new 335i's are supposed to be almost as quick as an e46 m3. Id say its all on the driver on this one, guy doesnt know what hes doing and got his A$$ beat haha. Good work tho, I bet that damaged his ego a lil bit haha, i guarantee he's gonna think twice before pulling that stunt on another 3 pointed star

Definatelly heat them for a second before rolling , I watched the shop who rolled mines and they did exactly that...came out perfect. Btw I too am running 285/25/20 no rubbing at all! have had 3 people in my backseat tucking! no rubbing issues...

Don't underestimate the M-Power!

Like I said, those 335i can be very fast if they want to (up to the driver/owner). They can put in fraction of the money you would put in your MBZ and spank our W210 all day.

My cousin plan to ship his 335i to Active Autowerk to tune his car next month. He only need to put in about 5K and his car will do low 12 sec. enough to blow the door off any stock w210 E55, probably mine too i wouldn't doubt.

I owned 3 BMW M3 in the past and I know these BMW have lots of protential to be fast with little mod to it. Not like my MBZ where you dump 15K into it and get only 50 rwhp..what a joke!
but i still like my car, oh well

I do not have supercharger...

same day same track stock 335 ran 13.5 ...

I would say to compare cars you need to run them same day same track...

335 is very fast cars and are much esear to mod...

howerver W210 beeing 8 years old and managing to keep up or stay arround with new models is very respectible...
