Pics from my 4000Km road trip to Affalterbach (Germany) and Kleemann (Denmark)
Hopefully the visit at Kleemann in Denmark with the nice welcoming will result in something special with my E55 if they can work a few things out for me as I suggested
The car as it stands right now is a beast for being a N/A V8, and with the German 100 Octan Shell V-power fuel it ran even more impressing after a few Km run in on the Autobahn. The car has a curb weight of only 1620 KG (I've weight it a few weeks ago) so I believe it has the potential of turning out to something really special.Hope you enjoy the pics, a few are from Sweden where I started my trip.

And a video of a high speed run somewhere between Mannheim and Frankfurt.

I was actually about to take some inside pics of all the candy they had there, like headers, their Superchargers etc etc, but the man I spoke to who was some kind of manager there told me that he didn't want me to take any pics, not what they are doing are top secret, but I respected that and said I'd turn my interest to Renntech instead

Anyhow, it was a really great experience to visit them. They had a few nice cars that they where building on, a W211 E55 that was getting a stage 2, and the new R500 that had a Kompressor, headers and a full flow exhaust installed, he even started it up for me and let me listen to the sound, quite different compared to my V8 sound, must be the headers,or the four pipes in the back? Had a more smattering sound where my E55 has a more dark and collected sound.

What kind of appointments do you need to make in order to get into the AMG factory?
I sincerely hope you didn't travel alone, good trips are meant to be enjoyed with friends and family.
4000 Km, how many days did you take?

. And when I came there, they told me that they didn't have any guided tours for tourists like me. Tourists where asked to visit the other AMG places they had in Stuttgart and another place that I don't remember it's name on. But for me it doesn't matter, I would have made a trip down there even if I before had found out they didn't allow people in the factory. It was a big experience just to be in Affalterbach and to see the factory.I've actually spent the last 10 years of travelling with friends and my ex girlfriend, but since we broke up a while ago, I really enjoyed doing this trip all by myself

I did the trip in four days. Quite much driving, but thats what I like! If I had gone with someone it would probably have taken a week or so, nothing bad with that, but like I said, this time I enjoyed being alone.
And off the record, those Danish girls has to be the most beautiful ones in the world with their incredible eyes, our Swedish blonds will have to find them self as runner ups from now on IMHO
In other words, another good reason to go visit Kleemann
...with the Benz , of course...
