PART 2

REMOVE AUX FAN GRILL COVER. REMOVE TWO PLASTIC PHILIP ON TOP

DIY: How to remove front bumper (W210)-driver-side-bumper-nuts-13mm.jpg
REMOVER DRIVER SIDE FRONT BUMPER SUPPORT 13mm NUT
BECAREFULL NOT TO LET THE NUT DROP INSIDE. HAVE A MAGNET HANDY JUST INCASE. ONLY THE NUT COME OFF, THE BOLT IS CONNECTED TO THE BUMPER COVER AND IT GOES THROUGH THE METAL BUMPER SUPPORT. IT ALSO USE TO ALIGN THE BUMPER WHEN REINSTALLING IT.

DIY: How to remove front bumper (W210)-pass-side-bumber-nuts-13mm.jpg

AGAIN, BE CAREFUL NOT TO LET IT DROP

DIY: How to remove front bumper (W210)-headlight-bolts-8mm.jpg
REMOVE (2) 8mm BOLTS ATTACHED TO HEADLIGHT ASSY

DO THE SAME TO PASSENGER SIDE.

ONCE YOU LOOSEN THE BUMPER DISCONNECT THE SIDE MARKER LIGHTS IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE SO, FOG LIGHTS AND OUTSIDE TEMP PROBE LOCATED IN THE SMALL LOWER GRILL NEXT TO THE DRIVER SIDE FOG LIGHT.

IT VERY SIMPLY AND ONLY TAKE ME LESS 30 MIN TO REMOVE IT

IF YOU RUN INTO ANY PROBLEM JUST PM ME, I'M MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP

GOOD LUCK!

Nice DIY Peter. Its the exact same procedure on my E430 except the sliders I had to push forward towards the headlight to release and I was able to do the job without removing the wheels. Glad I didn't because my 4 piston 355mm Brembos don't look quite as sweet as your 6 pistons and I'd probably get jealous.

Thanks for posting the DIY. You helped me out.

You are right, the slider need to be pushed forward. I was writing the prcedure by memory. The reason I remove the wheels is it much easier to access the bolts and nuts without having to start the engine to turn the wheel. I try it once with the wheel on and it take me longer since there very limited room between the wheel well and tires.

On the 2000+ facelift models, you have to remove it. On the pre-facelift, no.

AMG lenses.

very nice post. I need some work done on my front bumper. (I let the gf drive the car and she well you know...), and I would like to replace the AMG clear lenses. does anyone know where I can get the AMG lenses without paying $1,000 to the dealer?

This was SO HELPFUL to me and the hubby. Saved us $130 bucks. He was able to loosen the cover with the instructions, slide the old unit out and put the new one in. If we had found these instructions earlier, it would have saved us some labor time! Got my Headlight assembly off of Ebay - brand new assembly with bulbs- $220.00

Well, why would I think a W210 would be like a W211? ... mainly because I'm so new to this that I thought (hoped?) there might be some similarity. Your reply was very helpful to me and I thank you very, very much! best regards, Harry
