Hi!

Thought you might be interested in a few videos from a GTboard.com m5board.com meet here in Sweden we had a few weeks ago.

It's on an old airfield straight. A really great day with a really happy owner to my E55 W210 with my mods I have on it now.
Exhaust,Headers and Special ECU program.

Videos: My E55 Vs M3,RS4,E55 W211,M5 E60,Porsche GT3,Alpina Bi Turbo and more...

All races are from 50-250 Km/h and all starts are on 1:st gear except the race againt the Porsche 996 GT3 where I tryed a start from 2:d gear with a bad turn out A start from 1:st gear would have made it even or maybe even a win to me since I gain on him at the end.

Videos also shows how amazing fast a stock E55 W211 (only K&N Filters) is compared to my E55. I'm really impressed!!

Please feel free to ask questions since the info text are in Swedish.

M113
Hi Magnus and all of you n/a m113 AMG fanatics, very good videos indeed
and most important...the 3 valver ain't dead yet , still around ( slk55) and also
in G55 I believe . One is tempted to say , AMG did not fully do it's homework .

You must wonder why MB and AMG did not perform the full treatment ? That
is header design and free'er flow inl/exh like a Black series or what I think BMW
did to it's M-Power engines , not saying Mercedes didn't do well but just think.

Very good work and thanks for showing what the good ole 113 is capable of.
Now I must get on with converting my C43 to C55....Roger

The 5.5L AMG M113 is a VERY underated engine and has tremendous potential that nobody took the time to tune properly until recent years, Everyone just assumed "slap on a supercharger" was the only way to make power on these cars and that is simply NOT true. The M113 still has tremendous potential and has lots of room for improvement and honestly it many cases its just as cost effective as FI if not more sometimes. Our upcoming tuning packages will unlock alot of that hidden power. Stay tuned for more.

Great work Abalone, I especially loved the 335 race #2, shows there is simply no replacement for displacement at high speeds.

Loved the videos!!

Just wondering though, in the videos it says the car is a Kleeman. So do you have a supercharger on the car, or am I just misunderstanding?

Also, if you don't mind my asking, what exact mods have you done to the car?

NO, its no S/C on my car. It's still N/A

I have a "Swedish" special designed ECU tune for 98 Octane fuel,Kleemann headers, full exhaust with race cats,K&N air filters. Thats it

Magnus, when you are racing are you using the sport shift mode and shifting manually through the gears or are you just throwing your foot to the floor and letting it shift for you?

Also, from a standing start, is it better to turn off the esp or leave it on for the best launch?

I just bought my 01 E55 last week and have not had a chance to drive it except on a busy freeway. It's on the way VRP now to bump power up to 400 HP. Just looking for some tips.

I always race manually, from 50 Km/h I start om gear 1 and then work my self up manually. I have raised the rev limiter so I can pull every gear up to 6400 rpm to land on a higher HP after the gear shift. And I also win lots of distans when I can pull my gears really long.

From a standing, I ALWAYS turn off the ESP. And for a maximum start I hit the throttle after 0,5 sek from start to avoid wheel spinn

Let me know if you have any more questions...? Congrats on the 01 E55 !!

Have you ever considered running a low level, say 50HP Nitrous shot on the car?

I can't see that anybody in any forum has ever done this. I realize there is always an element of risk when you do this. Sure would beat the $15K for the supercharger though!

Basic bolt on's and a 75 HP shot = more power than a W211!

The beauty of the W210 E55 AMG is it is an all-motor monster.... thats the way it should stay. "There is no replacement for displacement"

I've always been a opponent against Nitrous in any kind of car. I like it the way that AMS writes below, that the power should come from the engine itself and always should be there and not depend on running out of Nitrous during a race, hehe. But with this said, I've actually been thinking a little bit about how the car would act with a 75-100 HP shot NOS just for these kind of races in these videos. Just to make a few people surprised and let them watch my rear disappear

But again, I feel there is a beauty in a "sharp" N/A engine and I would like to see how the car would act with another camshaft. I've been in contact with a Swedish tune company that is turning a C32 T into a 700HK+ monster
And I'm going to see if they have soem thoughts about my car and mods during the winter.

I was going for a Kleemann S/C this winter, but after a friend only got 493 Hp in his W210 E55 with their S/C,headers,exhaust,cats,ECU I don't trust them any more They promised me 550 Hp with that kit

ams.....can you give us an estimate of how much power we will get with your new ecu upgrade coupled with an ams crank pulley....you have stated that your company has uncovered alot more power in this underrated 5.4 na engine by tapping into the ecu ...can you elaborate please

Yes, it should work with our cars. You will never find a kit made specifically for the W210 as there are so few owners using Nitrous. I would check with the experts to be sure, as I am no expert!

Certainly, I guess I can go ahead and let the cat out of the hat and let everyone know what we are doing as we speak (which is why we have been so quiet the past few weeks). We are preparing for our new performance packages for the W210 E55 AMG (as well as all the 5.5L NA AMG engines):

Stage 1 : Pulley + ECU
Stage 2 : Pulley + Headers
Stage 3 : Pulley + Headers + ECU
Stage 3+: Pulley + Headers + ECU w/ most aggressive tune

Pricing structure is still being finalized but I can assure you the price will blow you away as well as the performance of our performance kit once it comes out. The days of having to pay an arm and a leg for SERIOUS NA performance are coming to an end and our kits should be out by end of this month. We are working feverishly to get the kits out so they can be sold during the holiday season. Thanks and have a nice day.
