Sounds so nice now. Not too loud at all, gives it more of a muscle sound! I'm very happy with this mod!! JEAH!
I want to take a second to thank everyone who helped me through this process. Mike (Nsupra), AMS (Omey) and everyone else who posted their thoughts/guidance!)
Price:
X-Pipe & Mandrels - $80 Shipped (Thanks Nsupra)
High Flows - $190 Shipped (Thanks AMS for link)
Install - $170 (Thanks Lou's Custom Exhaust)
Old Cats - $150 each returned! Took them to the junk metal spot near me. (Thanks Junk Man!)
Total out of pocket: $140!!!
Loving my baby more and more: PRICELESS!!
Some pics. I'll make a video of the sound tomorrow, since the weather will be nice!
Hope you enjoy!

Hello Lee,
We are glad our advice helped you out and the whole installation went well. Based on the directions given, they did an excellent job and its good they sleeved the piping instead of butt welding (end to end) b/c it is much stronger and less likely to leak. The cats look great as well. It is also good they painted over the welds, this will ensure there is no rust or etc down the road. The must sound great now, congrats on your new upgrade
Great Job Lee! nice writeup. Now lets see some videos !!

Ok, here are a few videos. It was cold and windy out...hope you enjoy!
Before: My car was cold, very, very cold as was the weather, I was in a rush to get this mod installed. It chokes a bit with plenty of white smoke. But you get the jist.

After: Sounds a bit tougher!!

They're OBD II Compliant, except Cali. Heres the link.

It will take another 2 weeks for the sound to really settle in as the ECU adapts to all the changes and the muffler packing burns off a bit more. Should sound really nice.

The 2nd "after" clip sounds better.Maybe you should have let her warm-up a bit before punching it? Either way , I am looking at getting this mod done also! Thanx for sharing!

You can definately hear the improvement when revving. At idle it sounds the same. Let get another video after a month driving when the everything settles in.

Yes, usually by 1 month mark its fully changed and it will stabilize from there. Granted once you do X-pipe & high flow cats... when you start changing the intake side of the engine (K&N filters, throttle body, etc) you can notice changes in the exhaust note as well, so keep that in mind. Congrats, you did a great job. glad we could help out

Sound like you have a back fire when you rev it up. That might be due to the lack of back pressure. I hope that don't rub you of HP. That thing must be loud as hell in the morning.

That is just the rev limiter kicking in. When you do high flow cats up open up the sound more and you hear the fuel cutoff more distinctly. High flow cats do allow a bit more rasp to come through, that is what you are hearing. Nothing bad, that's normal.
