Anyone install dual exhaust on their w210 e55?
Im about to purchase an e55 w210 2000 and just doing some research. I would like to install dual exhaust with two mufflers on each side of the bumper. I think it looks heck of a lot better and more aggressive.
Anyone done this mod?
Please post some pictures and more info on this mod.
Thanks guys

E55 has a true dual exhaust already, its just both exhausts come out one side of the bumper. There is zero point on doing this for both power & sound; You can get all the power & sound you need out of the stock style setup. You may in fact lose power by trying to go with a dual setup. Just do the X-pipe and enjoy the sound.

I hope you realize its a nightmare to do a true dual exhaust system. You have to cut into the spare tire well and even then you run into problems because the battery box is on the other side and it hangs very low. Its a logistics nightmare and the worst part there is zero advantage to the quad tip vs. dual tip (opinion: it looks much uglier and does not stay in line with AMGs philosophy of a wolf in sheeps clothing).
We cannot stop you from making a mistake, we can only advise you otherwise... so if you really want to...

On the true dual; there is a possibility to get this done without cutting into the floor, by installing two longer thinner mufflers where the resonator currently resides in the middle of the car and then routing two pipes to each side of the bumper,, just a thought

Haha, to each their own. I really wish I was able to put two muffler but that would have just been to time consuming and costly for something that really doesn't do anything...
Each side sounds the same too me...
I'll take more pictures by the end of the week. I'm painting my exhaust black so it's much harder to see the pipe connecting the tips and the muffler on the driver side.

hmm I guess a nice concept but I do like my car to stand out just a bit and make it unique. Maybe Im wrong but it gives me something to do ![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)

If you want something to do, do some REAL performance modifications. X-pipe is only $200 installed max and will give you more HP & better sound. You can do ECU, headers, pulley, K&Ns.. There are so many real performance mods, why you'd waste time & money on something like this is a bit odd. I suggest save your time & money and spend it wisely on performance mods that will actually improve your car. Just a thought ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
