Gemstar is a.ok for MAF insert + Pics
Hey guys,
I wanted to let everyone know that after a few weeks of driving with a new MAF from Gemstar everything is still on point. I had a check engine light come on and diagnosed for a faulty MAF. Car is driving AMAZING in any gear it's a complete Rocket Ship.... Unreal
I called Gemstar to make sure that the MAF was in fact Bosch - sure enough after a few days, box arrived with the correct part number & Bosch insert

The insert actually is the sensor itself. The whole MAF unit is basically a frame with the actual sensor/electronics in it. Instead of replacing the whole assembly (which is a Mercedes specific frame with a Bosch sensor in it), you can just insert a new Bosch sensor into the existing frame.

Germanstar is still expensive compare to Autohaus where you get the whole Mass air housing and insert for about $155, I think they still offer free shipping if you order over $50. fyi

Wheels do look good but lets see a pic of them installed!
Your current setup looks real nice with the wires & airbox. All you need now are some headers & high flow 2nd cats and you are pretty much done with the car.

oh so I had a moment yesterday..... I missed the S class, If only I had extended the warranty I would have kept her a little longer
For those who are even considering the S make sure you buy through Dealer. Even with my extended warranty through MB (3rd party I ran into many issues here in Boston and Miami / but since I purchased the warranty by MB they honored it. just an fyi folks
