My info in my last post may not be entirely incorrect. (Just when I think I'm understanding all this, I find info that contradicts.)
From another forum talking about doing SLK upgrade, it appears that in 2008 the standard SLK55 (non 030 perf package) was dropped to a 4 pot caliper, which may be the same as RAMON55 posted in his photo and the same as the C32/CLK55 (still trying to figure this out).
Up to 2008, both the standard SLK55 and SLK55 perf package had 6 pot calipers. Sounds like the big difference was in the rotor size and price, and I guess there was also a difference in the calipers as a result. Seems odd to have two very similar 6 pot calipers, but that is the gist of what I'm understanding (or maybe the only difference is the included mounting bar for the rotor offset -- price is same for both part numbers).
So.... it sounds like you can still get the fancy 6 pot caliper look at a slightly lower price if you get the first set of parts listed below for the standard SLK55 (up until 2008). If you want the biggest and best, go for the second set. If you simply want to do the much lower cost 4 pot C32/CLK55 (plus 2008+ SLK55) fronts as the OP was trying to do, then there are different part numbers completely.
SLK55
rotor: 171-421-01-12 (340mm rotor/disc) [pricing on 12/2011 was $522/ea]
calipers: 003-420-48-83 and 003-420-47-83 (straight mounting bar) [about $630/ea]
SLK55 with performance package (P30)
rotor: 209-421-01-12 (360mm rotor/disc) [pricing on 12/2011 was $659/ea]
calipers: 003-420-68-83 and 003-420-67-83 (C-shaped mounting bar) [about $630/ea]
brake pad set 005-420-39-20 , same for both [$242 dealer list price, $188 at discount dealer, or $50 for PBR elsewhere]
And here is a little more info from the person doing the upgrade from a different post...
1. P30 and 030 refers to the AMG Performance Package (EPC IIRC uses the P30 code when it refers to AMG Performance Package). Treat these letters and numbers as the refering to the same stuff.
2. Before 2008 model year, US spec vehicles SLK 55 all had the 6-pot fronts. The Performance package has a larger rotor size (360mm vs the 340mm) and the 6-pot front calipers of the P30 has a slightly different mount (see Prop Dr's photo in another thread). Note: there is a typo on the part nos. in the above pdf.
AMG Performance package front brake rotors/discs are quite expensive (IIRC, almost $200 more each) vs the 340mm, which is why I used the non P30 front rotors and calipers (plus I don't track the vehicle anyway).
Part nos for AMG performance package front brake components: 209 421 01 12 (360mm rotor/disc, you'll need 2), 003 420 68 83, and 003 420 67 83 for front calipers.
3. AMG Performance Package always have the 6-pot front calipers. They never had 4-pot fronts.
4. The rear brake calipers DID change to 2-pot rears instead of the 4-pot rears in model year 2008, i.e., both the front and rears were changed.

I believe these are the part numbers for the C32/SLK55/CLK55 **4 POT CALIPER** modification (double check these before relying upon them!!). I believe these are the calipers pictured in post in this thread by RAMON55.
