Saying hi and showing off my new car
hi everyone. Just picked up an E55 a couple days ago. I love it. This thing is definitely a monster. Ive played with Japanese 5pd manual 4-cylenders my whole life, so this is a nice change.
One owner, bought at Barrier Mercedes and serviced its whole life at Phil Smart Mercedes. Bone stock. Ive been on other car forums for years, but i'm excited to be a part of MBWorld.
Thanks for looking, and see ya around

Nice ride, and welcome to the forum.
Some things to expect: These cars will never give you the reliability of a Japanese 4 cyl... think of it like this: A Japanese 4 cyl would be akin to a Cessna 172 or Cirrus SR22, depending on how many bells and whistles you've got.
This thing? It's a Gulfstream 450. Maintenance and needs and costs to run are much higher, but the satisfaction that you get opening up a bottle of bubbly at 47,000 feet while your lesser brethren plug along at 1/3rd your speed and 1/3rd your altitude... well. That's worth the cost of it all.
You've got a clean example. Out of curiosity, do you happen to know what happened to the original wheels?

thanks again everyone. The wheels are stamped with AMG so im assuming they were a dealer option? I would've like to had monoblocks on it, but while I search for other wheels, theses will do.
Nelson, Your car was a huge part in my decision to hunt for a 210. Awesome car dude

Im going to throw in a new head unit and possibly tint soon. Within the next few months I'll just do some KW V2's and wheels and call it a day. I just got rid of my 240sx and need a break from mods for a while until I get another japanese car to play with. I love how i can just get in and drive it. No scraping, rubbing, loud exhausts, shifting, 2-ways etc. I do miss the feeling of a turbocharger, though.
The only(minor) problem the car had was a bad brake light switch. Got the part from Mercedes yesterday and it cured the problem. I'm still getting a 1 malfunction/lamp alert. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesnt. All exterior lights work so Ill have to do some research on why I'm getting that malfunction. Im still learning how to diagnose things on this electronic monster
