Check your control arms!!

Yesterday I pulled into a gas station to get gas and there was some gravel so the traction control clicked on. I thought nothing of it and pumped my gas. When I go to leave the car wouldn't budge. I thought great, the traction control got stuck or somethign so I get out and look around and I see my front left tire all out of whack and touching the fender.

Jack the car up, take the tire off and bam, the lower control arm totally cracked by the ball joint from rust. It was all rusted inside!!!

I'm not sure how you check those because it looked like it rusteed from the inside but thankfully it happened at low speeds. I can only imagine what would of happened if it hit a pot hole on the highway or took a sharp turn and it went.

Hey guys,
unfortunately I don't have any pics. I had to get the car towed to a shop and they put a new arm in. When I asked to see the old one they threw it out.

It was basically rustedfrom the inside out and snapped where the control arm tapers off and meets the ball joint area

that is not an uncommon problem for places with salt. i have seen it happen to several 210 cars.

There's actually no visible rust under the car. Like I said this
rusted from the inside out which was the weird part
