E55 4 matic rims size

Hi, all, there were version of E210 E55 4 matic.
The question is what size of rims should be set. Traditionally MB says that all 4 matics should have one width, but seems this AMGs had Aero II as usual E55s.

Do anyone has any info? Stock spec for E55 is
Front - 8J, 235/40/18
Rear - 9J, 265/35/18

Right?

E55s never came with 4matic. Unless the estate did, if so, then I am not sure.

Exactly, I am speaking about estate. As I heard there was rather limited edition of sedan & estate E55. Was built on W210 E430 base. Even seats in this cars are from ordinary Avangarde. I found one, and plan to buy, that's why I am asking.
Now it goes with same width 17.

Strange, I always thought that E55 should have
235/40
265/35
Am I wrong?

I'm not 100% sure .. specs have it otherwise .. I'm running 245/40 fronts and 275/35 rears ..
Could also be a euro thing again as im in the states .. Also i believe the setup your stating is also easier to find as a package whereas mine IIRC comes in as more expensive and harder to find in certains brands or makes ..
Overall i would have to say its a personal preference where ppl have tried out one or the other setup and feel more comfortable with it or their ride does atleast .
But i thought e55 front wheel was 8.5 and rear was 9.5 .. atleast thats what i thought . perhaps i could be wrong also ..lol

You're right.

US Spec W210 AMG's are 8.5" and a 245/40 in front, 9.5" and 275/35 in rear.

I have no clue on an estate 4Matic, I didn't even know they made W210 AMG's in 4Matics.

EDIT: The W210 rims are 8" in front and 9" in the rear.

Really estate or not, I think it doesn't matter. The main question concerns 4matic. One width rear and front or not?

I think you're just going to have to find out for yourself. I'm assuming you're looking into purchasing one? The best thing to do is to either talk to the owner or go to the MB dealership and ask a SA or the parts department. They should be able to look it up.

From what i've heard, having different size tires on any all wheel drive can mess up the drivetrain due to one set of wheels spinning more than the others causing the car to think it is having traction problems or something to that effect

Exactly! That's why I am thinking of 18s of same width. Gonna be from 8J to 9,5J and starting from ET35, all 4 tires 235/40
Might be MAE

The E55 4matic is very rare. It was not available in the US and was mostly made for the Russian market. I assume it has AMG brakes up front, which would mean 17" wheels would probably not fit. You're probably limited to 18".

No that bad 17th are fine, now it is on 17th and this is the limit. Having discussed it with friends final decision is:
1. All 4 will be 8,5J
2. ET starting from 37 and less up to 25 maybe
3. Tires all 4 - 245/40/18
Probable variants are:
1. MAE 18, 8,5J ET25

2. AMG 18 from SL230, 8,5J ET30, seems perfect

3. Lorinser, but they are 19th and 9J, ET35

4. Carlsson 18, 8,5J, ET39

5. Last is from W221 ET43 - not good at all, but seems to be looking cool

What do you think guys?
