Well, GM Finally did it, they pryed me away from MB kicking and screaming but damn is this a sick car. The V four door couldn't do it but one drive in the new V coupe with the manual trans and Recaro seats hooked me. Now if I come back to MB it'll have to be for something like a CLK-DTM....Well, I will try to keep my E55 but I know it will have to go. If anyone is interested here is a decent pic.

LOL! A CTS-V lists for around $64k. A CLK-DTM used goes for around $400k.

Congrats on the new ride though.

I am not parting out my E55, it has about 78k mi. and is in very good condition.....it will need tires in a few thou. miles, the a/c has a leak and doesnt work, and the tape deck doesnt work(radio and cd changer work fine).....everything else is good to go....body wise there are some small rock chips on the front airdam and a small (the size of a dime) dent on the bottom of the drivers door where I opened it on a curb after it was lowered.....other than that its damn clean.....the comment on the DTM was more joking....thats what it would take to get me back though....and the fully optioned CTS-V Coupe 6 speed is very rare and just over $70k list....a great price for a 556hp coupe with all the techno gadgetry--under 4sec 0-60, mid 11's in the 1/4, and 191mph top speedit is in NY now and I would like to see 13,500 for it.

I am going to try and keep the E55....It may be too good to let go....I really do love it, and it is a totally different driving experience than the V

I would love to run a C63....this is one bad ****....and it won't be very stock for long The V is effortless rediculous power all the time....low rpm 4th gear roll ons absolutely pin you to the seat....it makes you giggle to yourself every time

You forgot to mention that all the techno gagetry makes that coupe weigh in at 4200lbs.............and will never run mid 11's stock. I do however love that they can come with a manual transmission which is something M-B failed to ever make a reality(on any AMG).

The CTS-V Nürburgring record was set with the automatic version. The manual couldn't do as well. While I sometimes (ok, often) miss slamming a gear shifter, the stop watches have spoken and the automatic is the new champion.

That is quite heavy, though.

Auto's are the way to go for timed racing for sure..........but you cannot replace a manual when it comes to plane old spirited driving. I love knowing that the car is going to do exactly what I want(in the gear I want) at all times.
