Blacked out front grill?
I've searched 1237168625 web sites with 0 results. Looks like finding parts for W210 is PITA? I'm looking for a blacked out grill for 01 E55 AMG ... can some please point me in the right direction?

If you're looking for one with the star in it you can find them everywhere. If you're looking for just basically the stock grill but in black.....good luck. I've been looking for one for a long time too. I think most just end up painting theirs.

When the weather gets warm (after the snow that came through Illinois I think that'll be awhile) I plan on painting my grill with that plasti-dip. That way if it look like crap I can just peel it off. Someone else posted this link awhile back and I've been wanting to do it ever since. I have the spray paint can of it....just waiting for warmer weather.

Either spray paint (sand, primer, paint, lacquer, all possible with Krylon or other spray cans) or take it to a body shop. You can also use electrical tape (adhesive vinyl) to cover the metallic areas. An auto vinyl shop could probably do this for you, too.
Edit: jtbeche, you are the man. I am totally trying that. Not on the grill, but the emblems.

I've actually been told by some local car guys to use this stuff. They say it works really well and doesn't chip off.
