Need latest intelligence on "Light Bulbs"
I read through the past threads on this subject last night. Most of it was dated. I want to get brighter and whiter looking - Parking Lights, Fog Lights and High Beams to compliment my Xenon HID low beams.
I have a Light Bulb Guide for the car from Sylvania, they list the following:
High Beams - H7SU SilverStar Ultra as the Brightest and Whitest (Has anyone used these? and are they Brighter and Whiter?)
Fog Lights - H1ST SilverStar as the Briter and Whiter Light (Has anyone used these and are they Brighter and Whighter) In the past threads I noticed the use of H3 lights listed on Ebay, what is the diffenence between H1 and H3?
Parking Lights - 64132 (looks like a stock bulb)
I do not want to convert my other lights to HID's nor do I want to put in LED's and get "Lightout Messages" on the dash.
Just looking for the brightest and whitest bulbs to compliment my Xenon HID's Low Beam Lights.
Hoping someone can give me some guidence in this area.

fog light is h3 for our cars, h1 is for the non sport bumpers.
honestly, its nearly impossible to find anything brighter without getting more HIDs and LEDs. HIDs in foglights won't throw light malfunctions. All parking light bulbs won't throw errors if you get can-bus LEDs. For the highbeams, i'd recommend daniel stern's H7 rally bulbs.

@tsquare - I swapped out my high beams with Sylvania Silver Stars after I bought my car almost six years ago. They are still working just fine and really throw the light down the road. I believe they now have an "ultra" version but have no experience with them. I swapped out the rears for LED brake lights and do get a light-out code every time. The additional brightness and reaction time of the lights make up for the chirp and button push to get rid of it. Just for clarification - I swapped the entire light unit out in back not just the bulbs. I should upload a clip of them in action on my cardomain site.

I use the Ultra Stars, they are pretty good. I am interested in changing out the city lights with led's of a matching color temperature.
Does anyone have a list of city and fog bulbs that will match the color of the xenons?

I just pulled my city lights and let them hang. You can see just a little bit of light around the edge but it's not really noticeable. Also got some el cheapo ebay arctic white h3 bulbs on ebay and they match pretty darn close. Closer than anything else I've had.

Thanks! I was hoping to be able to illuminate the city lights to match the xenons. There seems to be an LED setup that matches pretty well. For the fogs, I'll look into the ebay bulbs.

My problem is no matter how well they kinda match, it's never exact. So what you end up with if you do the LED city is the regular xenon color, then something slightly different in the city and then even a slightly different third shade for the fogs. Just never worked for me.

Did you get the Stage 1 or Stage 2? I just bought the 2.

edit* whoops just seen he dont want HIDS ..SMH
go with PIAA's in the foglight H3 EXTREME WHITE and u be allset , on ebay you can find them for under $50 a pair 100x then buying that sylvania crap that you gonna pay 30-40 a pair for anyways ..
I've changed out all my bulbs from interiors to front end all except swapping out led tailights . As stated earlier its really a ***** tryin to match headlights ,city lights and fogs.. if your going xenon or HID its will be hard to match the philips bulbs with aftermarket xenons for the fogs. I've tried numrous setups , 4300k, 5000k ,6000k and still none of them would match The city light i ordered 18 or 23 led h6w or BA9s bulb but even thought the ebay description clamied xenon white color they would always come a darker blue tint to them . I also noticed my factory bulbs OEM philips one burns whiter then the other and found out that if a bulb has been replaced takes atleast 50-100 hours to burn in to match the other . so one headlight has a warmer color then the other .. HID xenons are the way togo for foglights unless you go with PIAA's IMHO thats only bulb that will even come close to whitish color without going HID xenon but you will still see a hint on yellow in it . I got sick and decided to try euro look with yellow fogs in HID xenon they look bright but I SWEAR ive seen halogens look more yellow then these so next i will try the ebay china style branded philips HID kit on the fogs with a 4300-5000k color if those dont work fugg it then i give up .. this is closest i could get them too match but up close and personal the city light looks more blue from a distance they all seem to face evenly
now i went with yellows on fogs
