I've tried 180º turns before on dry and wet, and it has never let me (it always kicks in), but I've had it in Drive.

Ohh and yes, the heart rate was pretty high, I was pretty excited.
Nice vid by the way.....I wonder if the tires would just eventually pop!!!

My401, I did that burning with the old tires, the kumhos, right after that I went to discount tire to have the Michs put on. In fact I had the tires in the car when I did the burning

I thought you were going to hit the guy recording it about three times....geez I bet he had to change his pants after that!!! Or were you never really that close to him??

On the E55 we have all-wheel braking - unless I have completely missed out on that magical front-brake-only parking brake (wouldn't that be great!).
So this must mean you:
A. smoked out your brake pad as well...
or
B. hit that gas so damn hard that the car didn't even move for the first 3 seconds!

To start burning tire you don't step too hard on the brakes either, ususally the front brakes have more power than rears, it is never 50-50 distribution for brakes, more like 70-30
Hey pocholin, do you have to be a member to view the video because the link doesn't work and directs me to the website homepage? Thanks...
No you don't, but Agent7 (from BWM) removes videos after a few days or lower activity (to keep bandwidth), I'll see about having another host for it and will post a new link.
That was insane! I just showed another buddy of mine who owns an M3. He is need of new tires now and you gave him the crazy idea of trying it himself. If he doesn't chicken out, I will film it and post it on line for you guys. BTW, did you have a bunch of burned or melted rubber all over the inside of your wheels wells? If so, was it a b*tch to clean? Thanks for the info. and the link brotha...

Not too hard to clean, once it cools off, it comes off with a rag or pressure washer.
Do let us know if your friend does that on his M3.

. I'm hoping to do a SLK 32 one soon hehe.
