Pulley won't come off
I have the car at a friends shop. He's trying to install the new AMS pulley I bought, when he called me and told me he can't get it off. Apparently, the bolt is off, but the damn thing won't slide off.
Anyone know what is going on?

Sometime you have to hit the edge with a mallet to loosen it a bit then slowly walk it off the crank by shaking tue edges back & forth. It should eventually come off.
Remember to install the new pulley at OEM torque specs (147 lbs + 90 degrees).
Hope that helps,

Awesome, Be sure to monitor it for the next couple of days to ensure the bolt doesn't come loose (which can cause a wobble). Sometimes shops don't torque it enough so just pay attention and check it every other day just to make sure all is well.
As long as its good after the first few weeks then it you should be set.
Hope that helps

Eh... you won't it will slide right off the key way and your dead in the water as the serpentine belt will come off and overheat as well. Don't ask me how I know this. Lol
As stated torque to spec and use lock tight and then re torque after a few thousand miles and you should be good.

Well if you upgrade to the newer bolt its a different style. The original bolt is a Allen style (I believe 19mm if I'm not mistaken) plus a conical washer behind it. The Newer bolt is a simple Hex bolt. Definitely use the newer bolt if you can locate one.
