Project Retorfit on it's way :)))))
FX-R BI-XENON
This is definitely not my department. I have a buddy of mine who's a Master at this. I'd figured I'll take pics and summarize the process for others to have a guide by. I'm really looking forward for this Mod. He has a BMW E39 with the same FX-R projectors and they look amazing / Cut-off is perfect and very bright.
Here is what I've purchased so far
My buddy has an extra D2S HID with Ballast so I won't be able to provide a link for those $60-$65 / but can be found on Ebay.

the best part is that FX-Rs already come with clear lens. I always felt that the 2.5 diameter was a bit small looking for the big w210 headlights though. Ive been itching to do the retrofit on my car too, but I just haven't gotten around to it. I did it for my friends E55 last year.

*looking forward on getting rid of the old looking headlights. The new headlights should be able to shave off a few years.

Few pics of the project. Almost a complete success. We need to re-open the passenger side as it's tilted down to much and even after adjusting it. The driver-side came out perfect.
Driving impressions at night is pure SEX. The cut-off is amazing and yes it's that good. On RT 495 it's a 3 lane and if I am in the middle of the road I can see the razor cut-line on the trees almost like it's slicing them down
My girlfriend bought a new Lexus ES 350 and my Retrofit puts her lights to shame.
Interesting enough we went with the OEM Ballast and DS2 bulbs 35 watt.
I will take night time pics once we fix the passenger side this weekend.
I never did post a pic / conversation regarding the accident I had. In short I ran over a truck tire on the highway it was dark and didn't see it coming till it was too late. Traffic and no room to bag left or right, had to eat it
I ended up having a cracked front bumper, mesh pushed in, fog lamps cracked both right and left and that was pretty much it. Grand total 6k (Progressive) I also had to appeal the surcharge which I'm confident I will win. No prior accidents for over 10 years or any traffic violations (knock on wood)
I ended up painting the hood (rock chips), new bumper and fenders plus mesh grill. Paint job came out awesome! Blended perfect and it looks clean!
