Removing Side Skirts W210 E55
Can anybody give me a clue as to how the side skirts are removed from an E55 (W210) - I've only had it up on jack and I know there are half a dozen or so bolts on the underside of eack skirt (8 & 10mm),,,,,,,,,,,but are they fixed elsewhere too, as they seem reluctant to move with the bolts removed from the underside.
I don't want to force obviously, as don't want to damage. Need to repair a small crack hence the reason for the removal in the first place.
I'm assuming its simple - but so am I?!
Thanks
Mark.

No special tool needed. you need to peel off the black stripe in the superior part of the skirt (open 2 doors & you will see a black stripe sticker) remove it, remove 5 or 6 screws, remove the lower screws & they pop of very easy (you need to pull it to front a little to desengage it to the fender clip)
you can thank Fabio D for that info !!!!!

Thanks for that (and Fabio D) for the info.
It was the black strip that threw me - I wasn't sure whether if I peeled it back I'd damage it.............but had wondered if there were additional screws under there!
I appreciate your help.
Cheers

Thanks Fabio, will try and re-use. But do you have part numbers for the stripe if I have a problem?
Thanks
Mark.

You can always bring the stripe to the mb parts dept and they will match it with the parts # on their parts site and order them for you. No worries...hope that helps.

On three occassions they've had my VIN number and managed to order wrong parts for me..................so I like to educate them.
Maybe your dealers there are better then over here!
