New Fog Lamps on my E55 W210

I was bored so I stopped at a local auto store and picked up a pair of led fog lamps. I always wanted to change the stock ones out since they are dull and unimpressive..
SO here are the results

They are just some $24 led fog lamps with no brand name...
I put the car on the ramps to install them,
believe it or not but i used zip ties to mount them to a side of the metal mesh in the bumper

Not bad. All I did was put in 55w 6000K HID's and they are extremely bright...to the point I really don't need the headlights on.

what happened? did the ballasts keep frying? I have 35w in my fogs and theyre fine. I put 55w on my friends old car and they looked great. I also just put 55w on his CLS63 and its really nice.

yea thru out winter went thru a bulb and a ballast and lately weve had just bad rain storms one burnt out .. I bought them on ebay for $40 shipped with slim digital ballasts .. the seller is actually kool and replaces the bulbs and ballast for free and ships them free too .. not bad customer service . Im guessing from weather and having the little trap door missing maybe is what causing bulb or ballast to burn out rather then item itself .. just wana throw some 55w as hear they color up nicer then 35w.. also when i install mine hids in fogs i splice the wire and run them through the breather slot rather then drill through the cover .

Help!

I replaced stock fog lights on my w210 96 today, and both the contacts that goes into the round plug outside were so rotten that they both broke, need to replace the contacts, not the one on lamp side, but from the car side, are they possible to get somewhere, if so, from who?

Thanks

just use waterproof butt-connectors from your local auto parts store. Chop both sides of the wire harness and crimp/rewire them and shrink wrap as needed.
