amg engine cover ebay
looks pretty cheap, for some member with broken star, seems to be a good deal.

Will it fit a W210 for sure? My star is broken and I'm thinking about jumping on it. I'm just a bit hesitant since I'd rather not waste $80.

There a couple of W210 AMG engine covers on ebay right now that are in the $80-$90 shipped range. These pieces appear to be in 'very good to great condition' looking at the pics. For those prices they are also an awesome deal.
FYI- I looked at replacing that small plastic chrome looking MB star on the front engine cover from the stealership parts counter ~3 years ago and was told that it was not available separately. Don't know if it is available separately now, but at that time I was quoted ~$400 for the front engine cover. Very pricey for a cosmetic piece.
Good luck,

I just bought another one that was on there for $90 shipped (came off an '01 E55). It bugs the hell out of me not having the star on the cover for some reason.
The same seller also has a set of red/black seats off the same car. I'm kind of interested but not sure how they'd look with the gray.

My star is still broken and I'm so bent out of shape from it that I haven't even put it back. Makes my Renntech CF look like crap.
Where are you guys finding these front covers.

This is the one I bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/190607800994...ht_2851wt_1139
I'd contact the seller for the original one that was posted. It ended without selling.

I put a few dot of superglue on the back of the cover where the little holes holding the star and it works wonders. The plastic star stays on nice and tight. Just in case anyone wants to know a quick fix on not loosing the star emblem.

Got my engine cover today. It looks good but is a little more scratched up than the original one. The scratches show up a lot more in the pic than in person, same with the slightly different colors between the two halves. My only gripe is that it was missing the clips to hold it on so I had to pull those off the original and stabbed myself once doing it.
Yes, my engine is filthy. I think it still looks much better than it did with the missing star.
