Anyone interested in Euro AMG springs?
I've just emailed Gert at Carnewal to see what he says and if I can't figure out what's going on with the Eibachs,I'll just go with the Euro spec AMG springs and Bilstein Sport all around.
https://mbworld.org/forums/suspensio...much-more.html
I've also ordered the Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs, which have the closest application in a E430. They've never been tested on the E55 by Eibach,so I'm a little nervous about that... The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating on the E55s is 2110kg and on the E430 is 2080kg,so I don't see why they wouldn't work... I believe some folks here have been running this set up.
I'm thinking about running the stock pads front and rear.
I'll post the results and pictures hopefully in a few months.
BTW,anyone in NYC area that has a spring compressor kit for the W210s?

Will post some pics when they are installed, they are being paired with Koni FSD's that haven't arrived yet.

I also noticed that the painted stripes on mine are a bit different than the ones in Nocturnal-G's pic. If I'm not mistaken, those stripes are an indicator of something. Mine have two yellow on (what appears to be) the front and two white stripes and a yellow on the rear(?!?) Does anyone have an idea why mine are different?

I ordered from Gert at Carnewal and what I received was:
A210 324 36 04
A210 321 21 04
On this forum, I am seeing that the correct part numbers are;
Front:
A210.321.32.04
Rear:
A210.324.38.04
I really hope I won't have to send these back to Gert and wait for him to send me the correct parts, but it's really beginning to look that way now.

I just ordered the part numbers listed below a little over a week ago. and they should be in anytime now. I hope the place you got them from takes care of you, I got mine locally for $320.00 including #1 pads. Good luck.

Hi Kirk,
The part nrs Front: A210.321.32.04 and Rear: A210.324.38.04 are for an Euro E55 AMG up to 1998.
Since your car is a 2000 model, the correct springs for the European E55AMG are A210 321 21 04 for the front ant A210 324 36 04 for the rear.
Attached are the parts drawings from Mercedes that show you the part nrs.
The blue highlighted section is the spring for the Euro E55 AMG when you select the year 2000.
( code 800 = model year 2000)
If you select code 808 (= MY'98) you will get different springs.
Thanks,
Gert.

So, it appears, that perhaps many of our forum members have been arbitrarily ordering the same part number, based on others experiences, without offering the specific year model of their car. In other words, according to Gert, each year will have a different spring part number.
I wish there were a chart that shows the correct part number for Euro Springs for each year our E55 AMG's were manufactured...

but even more than that, the part numbers change within a facelift. according to Gert, the differences are minuscule, and I'm not sure to what degree they can be measured, and they're interchangeable, which is possibly why this hasn't come up before now.

It'll be interesting to see, for sure. I have to postpone the job until Monday, got called out of town and won't be back until Saturday.
According to the local dealership, and Gert in Belgium, each car will vary depending on the accessories on the particular car. Apparently, they calculate the spring rate against the exact weight of the car based on the accessories, in addition to the obvious differences between each year of manufacture. That's what the coded stripes are for.
The pics below are basically what I'm trying to achieve...
Here was mine with uncut H&R springs and #1 pads all around (guessing 1.5" lower, never measured). It's dropped 2" now and I think cutting the springs dropped it about an extra 1/2" from this pic.
I have ****ed up my front bumper with it at this height. It was mostly from the place my dad was at that had a brutal driveway. I could not get out of it without scraping hard. I've also had some run ins with parking blocks when not paying attention.
Uncut H&R springs with #1 pads:
19" wheels in this pic and 1 day after the springs were installed. They had not settled.

Cut H&R springs with #1 pads. Lots of freeway driving (1,500+ miles a week for awhile) did almost all the chip damage. The cracks aren't visible in the pic. This is how it currently looks. It will be back on some 19"s soon, they're on order.
