Same setup as now except no plasti dip.

At a meet. The E55 next to mine had H&R's on it (and 19" CLS wheels). I don't know which pads he was running.

I could live with that! I like the height of it with before the plastidipped rims, for sure... Looks good, either way, tho!

Man, you Cali guys got all the meets all the time!! I have never heard of a W210 E55 meet around here....everrr

The only "meet" we have, is that we happen to run into each other's cars at a parking lot

back to topic/update

So as it turned out, both front springs were broken! Also I had #3 pads all the way around, which gave me this look (sorry I don't have more "before" pics, but I can tell you that I had 3 fingers on the rear wheels...

and this is what I ended up with...
sorry my details don't include measurements, but I installed #1 pads on the rear and #2 in the front. I am seriously considering installing #1's in the front, because while I wanted to avoid a raked look, and wanted to keep it as even as possible, the front end is still a bit too high for my taste. I can almost get two fingers up front.

IMO I think it looks good. I am not a fan of the slammed look. This setup will be more of a daily driver look. The front and back looks even now. If you change the #2 pads with #1 in the front, you might get the "rake" effect. My two cents.

Thanks, Snooozie, and I'm really leaning your way on the decision. I'm hoping the front will settle down a bit more, we'll see. I've got bigger fish to fry now, getting the rust under control. I've ordered a right fender and trunk lid. But back to the suspension. I can live with it like this for the moment.
