Neebie with a 99 E55 85k
Just sold my Jeep SRT 8 and picked up a clean 99 E55 AMG, All i can say O M G, The power delivery is so smooth. I Love it, I ve got a few questions , After i got her home I noticed the pass seat back is very loose on the right hand side ?
1. i hvnt really checked the seat issue yet, Any Idea's are welcome
2. Its got a K40 hardwired , is there a way to mute the clicking sound , not the alert, like its monitoring
3. Its also got the old Moto bat phone hardwired in the top arm rest, retro cool. would like to use that for my iPad & iPhone.
TIA , Looking fwd to learning.
btw opened it up on 295, this thing halls , i thought the jeep was fast this is different.

Sounds like a bolt for the seat. I had to take apart the passenger seat to replace a seat sensor.

Go Resonator delete, high flows, x-pipe. Let her growl... I would start there

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking some mild mods . I like what you suggested , any good vendors on here to get me started ? I'll post pics ASAP.

For your seat - do a search on this thread for (seat rattle or seat clicking) Their was a good DIY posted last year, I think this will help with your repair. See link

If you search on the phone / IPad conversion you should get different ways to get wired up, but I am not certain how to utilize the Moto Phone - after your reasearch and mod be certain to post DIY.
Good luck with the car - the power delivery is what makes these cars so fun on the highwy - lots of torque - the car pulls like a freight train.
