'02 E55, '03 Z4 6MT and other lesser vehicles
I've had mine for four plus years. Just turned 152k miles. Still gets 19 around town and just did 24.3 mpg on a 300 mile trip. It runs like it's on rails, stops on a dime and leaves change.
Bone stock. Silver/Condor Black interior. Extensive PM program. Only OEM parts used. It's been my DD. Just installed the correct E55 windshield a couple of months ago.
I've actually decided to sell it. Got a company car now and four others. Figured this would sell easier than the others. PM me if interested.
Have a safe and happy New Years!

Hello everyone.
I just picked up a 2001 E55 with 37k miles. Loving it so far.
Only issue to speak of is the amount of travel in the brake pedal. Going to do a pressure bleed soon.

Add me to the list... new owner. Stumbled upon this gem last week while hunting for new cars. I am in love with this car.
Booked in for some maintenance work (trans. fluid, oil change, valve cover gasket). Also needs the rear subframe mounts replaced at some point. But what a beast.

----I love this forum. I love my car. I've gotten great help from just searching the threads. Most problems I come across have happened to others before me. So there's not much 'new' content. Most have already been addressed. Still, I'm usually on here daily. Oh, and welcome to the forum!!!

2001 E55 Silver with Charcoal/Ruby
Still here
2001 Silver with Charcoal/Ruby. 141k on the clock. Just tuned it up and replaced valve cover gaskets to fix nagging oil leak (with lots of help from this forum, as usual). Daily driver. Runs like a champ and looks great doing it!! Love this car....

Newbie here. '00 black and black w 91k. BBS' s and H&R 2 coilovers. Love this car. Had Porsches since I was 25 and wanted performance in a more family friendly package. Can't believe how much car for the money this is! Also thanks to all you who post to this forum. Great resource while searching for the car and even moreso now that I have it. Cheers.

2004 W211 E55 AMG
Here is my, new to me, 2004 E55 AMG. I have to say that I am very very very happy with my purchase and have begun the modification process. SLowly but surely.
I have LED bulbs in the cargo area, tag lights and city lights. Next is HID fogs, the rear spoiler, roof spoiler and front spoiler. Looking to purchase a set of 19" ADV.1 08 DEEP concave wheels. WHOO HOO!!
A few gripes, the SC pully slippage and COMAND audio gateway is going bad and the pulse seats are a waste.
Nice to meet all you guys!

I bought my '01 E55 4 years ago with 58K miles for under 13K. Today she just passed the 70K miles. So far it has been excellent, with only regular maintenance performed. It is totally stock and sits next to my wife's pristine, like-new, '99 C43.
Recently I got new brake pads and had the trans mounts changed because they were worn. The on-board display tells me that it averages 19.5 mpg over the last 2500 miles, which surprises me because I am rather not light footed...
Lovely machine at any price, but curiously, my wife prefers driver her C43 that is a heck of a lot less comfortable. Go figure... I had bought the E55 for her, so that I could hot rod the C car. Never mind.
I plan to keep both for a long time, I see no reason to get another car. None whatsoever.

I bought a 99 back in may with black and blue leather! Looks great. It had 226,000 mi when I got her now she had 230,000 mi, she was fully serviced by the previous owner always at the dealership. What a beast ! Feels better then a lot of newer cars and for way less money! I paid $6400.00 only issue is the asr/abs light going on but that happened on my previous 99 e320 also , it's no big deal , it always goes away after you restart her up. I think they engineer problems like that to get people into the dealership. Anyways the forum here is pretty good , would love help getting some rear side window roller shades though. Someone out there please help!

I still drive mine everyday. I've gotten rid of a '00 4Runner and '03 Honda VFR800 over the last eight years, but the AMG remains. Just crossed 162K...added a Magnaflow muffler about a month ago. As far as the tail light swap...I've truly enjoyed my LED conversion. MUCH brighter than stock and updates the rear end quite a bit. Still tons of searchable topics and how-to-dos as well.
