Best method for alternator removal?
At 83k my alternator has just crapped out. Time to replace.
I am having some difficulty in determining the best course for removal. WIS says to remove lower cover and drop the alternator our of the bottom. From my research on the forums, others say you have to undo the engine mount and lift the engine for removal. AllData says the radiator has to be removed.
Can anyone offer insight into the best way to fully remove the alternator once it is loose?

I removed my alternator from the top without messing with the engine mounts or radiator. I did have to remove the fan shroud (which also means removing the fan) but not the radiator. All in all it was a pretty easy job. Here is a link to some pics of the alternator coming out with a link to the DIY I followed.
