Finally got the car lowered again
I took my car over to my friend's shop today and got the H&R's back on. It wasn't low enough for me and I'm finally happy with one full coil removed from the fronts and 1/4 coil from the rears. I had the springs on the car for awhile already, so they're fully settled. It's also got #1 pads installed. The ride is still fine and it feels the same as it did before cutting the H&R's.
The car is lowered 2" all around now.
Here are a couple of pics.

do you use stock AMG shox with H&R springs?
do you have #1 pads front/rear with no rubbing?
front looka good, rear looka a bit low?
car stance is it all even level now?
do you have 1 or 1½ finger wheelgap?
personally I think 1½ gap is good, that's not to low.
what are you going to tune the suspension with?
is that 17 inch on your car?

It's currently got the stock shocks, but I'm planning on swapping them out for some Bilstein Sports eventually.
The rear looks lower since the front has bigger arches. I measured all 4 corners and they're right around 25" at the top of the arch.
There's no gap. If you put your finger straight in from the fender you just hit tire.
I won't really be tuning it at all. I'll probably get the front alignment bolts and possibly some adjustable rear arms. I did this more for looks and to get rid of the kind of floaty ride the car has stock. It just gets used for going to work and stuff like that.
It's sitting on the stock 18"s. I'm looking at getting some 19" TSW Nurburgring R wheels in Matte Bronze for it sometime.

Spray Armorall tire foam in your tires and looks much better trust me! hahahaha, Maybe you would lower just a little little bit in front to match the archs front to rear or just put spring pads #2 in the rears
Just IMO. Your car looks so beauty i love this color in that car. Congrats man!

I have bought a set of H&R springs sitting in my basement for sometime now, waiting to be put in. Is it hard to do the springs? I also bought the adjustable bolts from a member in this forum, "ghost". Planning on put those in the back too. I also got a pair of tie-rods for the fronts. All this and was wondering if it is worth doing them myself or just bring them to the shop. Your car looks good stogoi!!

Since I had my springs for a few months now, I might as well wait till spring and put them in myself. I dont drive the car much in the winter anyways.
I see you got some smoke out side markers My car is the same color and I had the flat Mercedes badge too. I had the original rims but also bought a set of 04 W211 rims which i plan on getting them flat black to go with the car (originally intend for snow tires) when I get it lowered.

Yeah, the side markers were just some cheap ones from Ebay. They match the paint really well though (can't really tell in the pics) and look better than the orange ones.
Do the 211 E55 wheels fit? I want to get some wheels for it again and was thinking about them. I saw some on CL and they said they were et44 if I remember correctly.

Strigoi,your car looks great!
I've received my shocks and springs last week so I'm going to lower mine soon.
My car is almost 14 years old and I strongly believe it has become a classic! So I'd like to throw in my opinion about rims because I see this discussion once in a while. To each it's own,but in my humble opinion, save your money when it comes to rims. I know we as enthusiasts have the urge to always change and do something to our cars, but there isn't even one set of rims out there that looks better on the W210 E55 than the stock monoblocks! You can give me HREs,BBSs that cost 2000$ a rim for free,I WON'T put them on this classic!

W211 has 14x1.5mm lug (Note shank size difference)
W210 has 12x1.5mm lug
W211 E55 wheel offset
30mm front
39mm rear
W210 E55 wheel offset
31mm front
35mm rear
So, the newer rims will fit the older car
