W211 E55 manifold
Has anyone compared the E55 Kompressor exhaust manifold to the one fitted to our cars ? Surely what may be marginal for the Kompressor cars should be more than adequate for our cars.
It seems the outlet on our manifolds is only around 45mm, maybe it is bigger on the supercharged cars and could offer us a performance gain especially with the corresponding cat from the same car. Some welding may be required but the W211 stock parts seem to be readily available on the used market.
Anyone have any thoughts.

I just measured a stock W210 exhaust manifold and got 1 5/8" on the outlet and 1 7/16" on the inlets. Converted to a decimal this is almost exactly the same as Exotic-metal55 measured on his stock W211 manifolds.

I don't think you will find any gain in swapping W211 manifolds onto your car.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I read the link and it seems that the manifolds are almost if not identical at least size wise. It seems there really are very few tuning options for our cars.
I have been checking our Kleemann and Renntech websites for ecu tuning and it seems there are very little gains to be had there 10 HP for $1200 -$1400. Others claim more but don't back it up.
I think a set of Kleemann headers is about the only cost effective performance mod we have

I set of kleemann headers would be a nice upgrade. Upgrade with two race cats and a resonator delete/ x pipe and I think you'll be really happy with the sound and performance. I have a Eurocharged flash on my car and it didn't make much of a difference powerwise but seemed to make the powerband more even and smooth. Eurocharged is still having their black friday sale until tomorrow. Check it out if you're interested.

Don't forget the K&N filters. That will definitely give a few horse. If you can find the RennTech airbox that will definitely give you some gains. I took my second cats off and it does give a nice grawl when you stomp on the gas.
