Star Diagnostics

I usually get my car serviced by a long time friend,“ who happens to run a small indie shop” I took my car in for service about a year ago, I mentioned the hard pedal reset..He looked at me like I was joking.: I also disconnected the battery once..due to car driving slugish, what a difference it made.“was like a tottaly different car".He later found out after we hooked it up to Star Diagnostic. My main question is Would the Pro Logic tune show up when diagnosing the car.

There are a many reason could cause that hard & sluggish acc.,:-

(bad Maf - clogged air filter - air leak - cracked on crank breather hoses - dirty Throttle body - bad crank sensor - clogged EGR or change-over valve - bad O2 sensors - bad tranny speed sensor in a conductor plate)

*Sometimes Star could not figure-out these faults, you can figure-out by your self or take it to the good series & careful garage to check them all ,,

If you plan to do an ECU tune, make sure your car in Excellent condition with-out any kind of issues, that will make it easy for a tuner to do his best for a proper tuning.....

The dealer will not be able to tell that the car has been tuned unless you mention it to them!

Also, after the tune you will notice that the accelerator pedal is much more responsive than from the factory.

Very good words of wisdom. Its always better to start with a fresh running car then modify it. A lot of times people put money into modifications before worrying about doing basic service on their cars!

I am interested. It looks like you are leaning out the A/F mix by about 5% leaner across the RPM band.

Well, I have been thinking about doing the tune. Can you PM me as to how this works...i would have to send in my ECU via priority mail plus payment right and you send it back to me in a few days? Can you also tell me if this tune fix the reset issue (sneaky ECU reset) as I think most tune does not fix the problem...as most of us in this forum would like to know also.....tks

All my mods have already pass the 6 months duration hence I feel the ecu has pretty much adapted to and comfortable with the mods i have done hence i am ready to move to my next and final mod for this car which will be the tune....

What kind of gains can be expected on your "typical" W210 E55?
