Advice?
My car is a 2000 E55, 42,000 miles. Yesterday while pulling onto the freeway I floored her and cylinders started dropping, I slowed pulled to the side and the engine was running on half the cylinders looping and chugging. Check Engine light came on flashed a couple of times then went steady. Once I turned the engine off and back on again it ran fine.....until I floored it, same result. Codes were P300, 0306,0303,0304. Besides the low mileage I'm going to rule out cats due to missing codes on different banks. Gas cap is on, Any suggestions?

I hate to say it....your car has been sitting for 13 years....Imagine a person lock up in a room for 13 years and you let him out.....what would you think if you force the guy to run. He might have a heart attack or his legs would give out.... as he has been sitting and laying down for 13 years. That's why I don't believe in buying a super low miles car as everything especially mechanical will be sticky and lock up. Maybe great to have it shown in a museum but not for regular driving. (Sorry to bust your chops) You need to take the car out and drive it more often.....I parked my car for the winter (3 months) and when I restart it, the check engine light came on....I went to Walmart and bought a bottle of gumout for the gas tank and woola...the cel went away. You might want to get some fuel additives and try that and see before working on the engine.

A small update, I bought gas yesterday so I decided to change fuel filter in case the gas was bad. I also filled the car up at a different gas station today. I did hard reset of the ECU and she drove like a bat out of hell with a nice second gear chirp and traction control light going crazy. Drove her for 30 minutes, then floored her and it did the same thing. This time it's only pulling a P0306, guess I'll start with plug wire swap and work up to coil on the #6 cylinder, I'll be going to the #1 cylinder since I haven't seen a P0301! Anyway, feel free to add any suggestions what will actually help with the problem. I'm sure someone someday might need them too.

IMO I would change the set as if one is bad, the others might have problems down the road. Granted you only have 42k on the odometer but it's still 13 yrs old. You might have change the wires before this a few years back but still I would have a brand new set. I change mine a year ago with a new set as one of them broke when I put the headers on.

Do you replace the wires with OEM’s or Bosch’s or Magnecor’s.....??

The whole tread can be seen below, where I was contemplating on going with Magnecor's....

Clean MAF too.
Also try not to sound like a know it all c**k. There are good folks here that have no obligation to answer to your problems. When they do,just say " thank you " ,whether they're right or wrong.
If you did your research, you would've found many many many threads dealing with this exact same problem.

I did my research but none of them told me to clean my MAF with multiple misfire codes, for the unknowing you would've wasted their time with that misinformation! ...nowhere did I say I got a P0170, P0173 or P0174 which would be associated with a MAF problem! The car is fixed, Thank You so much for telling me not to be a know it all c**k, while doing it in a dic*head way, practice what you preach, hypocrite! And yeah, I was a little harsh, what I didn't need was someone telling me my car is failing due to lack of driving and mileage, implying this is why my car has this problem, that wasn't any help to the resolution to my problem, or was it accurate, true or factual!
