Hey guys!

So i've been lurking for a while and I finally pulled the trigger on the 01 E55 amg. I've had quite a few vehicles already and I just appreciate every car brand/make, but this one has sentimental value. I've grown up in the w210 E320 and I've always loved the design. A clean one popped up locally and I had to purchase it.
Enough talking! I'll post some pics
First Day I picked her up!

Interior Shot

Frontal Shot

Met up a couple friends

As many of you know, the Brabus front lip is virtually impossible to find..so I resorted to the "Home Depot" front lip, which is essentially the garage door moulding with double sided tape. Not bad for $15!

I look forward to posting more and learning more from this forum!

Cheers

Thanks! I am actually talking with another local about trading my wheels foe a set of stock silver amg monoblocks. Black on black is too much for me. I'll probably repaint the trunk and remove the spoiler as well. Then eventually get lowering springs and spacers. I dont have big plans for this car since its so beautiful in stock form!

Nice car!! I like the black rims but the rear spoiler has to go, IMO. I think your car has been lowered as the rear looks pretty low in the first pic....check the front spring pads. You might just need to change the front pads for a smaller size. Run the vin thru your dealer and find out what size spring pads you have in the front.

I actually got the EZ lip for my rubber strip via eBay....

I should check which spring pads i have.. but i do know that the previous owner put in Koni Adjustable shocks on all four..would that contribute to the lower ride height?
Should i just change the spring pads or should i purchase h&r sport springs?

Check the pads in the front first. Get the #1 pads if they are not already there. It's totally up to you for the H&R springs. I have the lowering springs on mine and it sits lower then the original, but then I don't have the adjustable shocks. The Konis are nice. Maybe the fronts just need to be adjust lower.

very nice!!
I especially like the blacked out insignias in the back, and the blacked out grille. even though mine is silver, I blacked out the letters in the back and the benz emblem, but I'm not sure what it would look like with the grille blacked out...
It would be a good move to delete the spoiler in the rear, I agree..

nice one, tho...

The blacked out grill on a black car is the only way to go

Not sure how that would look on silver though.

Beautiful car and sweet exhaust!

The caption says AMG muffler delete. What kind of muffler are you running? Is it annoying at cruising speeds?

Congrats, love the username haha, totally pulled from Transformers movie... Clever.

I would suggest putting an X-pipe in that exhaust to help smoothen out & clean up the sound as well as pick up more HP on the top end quite a bit.

...also replace the bend going from the 2nd cat to the resonator and the bends going from the resonator to the straight pipes with Mandrel bends....cheap on eBay and will help in smoothing out the power

I'm pretty happy so far with the power and sound of the exhaust so far haha.. later on when the mod bug bites again i'll think about it

next on the list will probably be h&r springs to pair up with my koni adjustable shocks. I am also considering swapping for aftermarket sway bars, can anyone chime in on that?
