Shock suggestions

When I was changing my sway bar bushings I saw a little leakage from the fronts. They do not go down very far on the shock though.
Once they leak is it the beginning of the end?

Looks like it's KONI adjustables for me on my new-to-me '01...
Where is the best (i.e., cheapest
) source for these shocks and Euro springs? TIA

Best of luck,

Koni shock source:
http://www.emnotek.com/p-4152-merced...le-shocks.aspx
about $130.00 for each, which is cheaper than what I found on Ebay -

Euro spring source - try Gert at Carnewal:
http://www.carnewal.com/Suspension
since his website caters mostly to Porsche, email Gert directly:
gert@carnewal.com
I ordered Front:
A210.321.32.04
Rear:
A210.324.38.04
A note from Gert about how my order translated to what was actually sent:
Hi Kirk,
The part nrs Front: A210.321.32.04 and Rear: A210.324.38.04 are for an Euro E55 AMG up to 1998.
Since your car is a 2000 model, the correct springs for the European E55AMG are A210 321 21 04 for the front ant A210 324 36 04 for the rear.
Attached are the parts drawings from Mercedes that show you the part nrs.
The blue highlighted section is the spring for the Euro E55 AMG when you select the year 2000.
( code 800 = model year 2000)
If you select code 808 (= MY'98) you will get different springs.
Thanks,
Gert.
Thanks!
I'm deciding between the Koni Adjustables (adjustability) or the Bilstein Sports (cheaper). I will likely be running the Vogtlands springs.
Does anyone know if the Konis - at their softest setting - are softer, firmer, or the same as the Bilstein Sports?
My car will be a daily driver, so a nice compliant ride is important.
TIA

On other cars I have been through all of the options. Koni adjustables are the safest if you want to try to "tune" the ride better but I found my self constantly fussing over the correct adjustment and for what? I decided I just didn't want to be able to tune. The OEM Bilsteins are perfect for me. I do not use my car for anything but commuting (occasionally spirited of course!).
These cars are very, very well tuned from AMG for performance and comfort. My recommendation is to keep it simple and go OEM.
FWIW, the HD's are indeed very harsh.
