Hello all, I am about to lower my E300 Turbo Diesel with the VOGTLAND springs. I have a few questions about the Spring Pads. Firstly, how can I tell what # spring pads I have. I've read forums and see "#1, #2, #3, #4" Spring Pads. Is it by part number? My other question is where could I order #1 Spring pads from. I understand #1 is the smallest size in mm, I just don't know what to look for online in order to purchase them.
The pads have little bumps on them. Similar to braille. If you look at post #8 in this thread you can see a pic right after the words "My car, like most others that I’ve read about, has # 3 spring pads that I reused:" showing a #3 pad with three bumps.
I copy and pasted the following from another popular Benz forum. I can't 100% vouch for the accuracy but I'd bet it's correct.
