New Picture Thread
I found an old picture thread started about 8 years ago with some great pictures in it. A lot of those posters are no longer active and I know we have a lot of new members present, so I want to start a fresh thread. Please post pictures of your car: exterior, interior, mods, engine bay, etc. I love looking at these cars. I'll start with some of mine. Thanks!

Cool air box and engine cover! How'd you do that?
I just noticed the vents on your hood too! Man your car is sharp! I think I may do that with my grille and hood too. It ties together NICELY!
And no "new" pics of mine. This is all I have at the moment. This was taken a week or two ago

Your car is a beauty. I love the wheels!
When I purchased my car the engine cover/airbox looked really bad. It was dull, chalky, and inconsistent in appearance. It looked like it never had been wiped off. Just removed for filters and maintenance. I'd seen and wanted the Renntech airbox, which is in CF, but couldn't bring myself to pay for one. Not even a used one. It did however inspire me to do something with mine. I'd seen hydrographics on the web and started searching for a shop in my area. It really came out well. You can see in the pic below how it flows in all kinds of intricate areas. Then, a member here, snoozie, gave me the idea of doing the grill. I already had an aftermarket black grill which was the perfect candidate. That led to the HVAC cold air vents on the hood. I wasn't sure about it, so I purchased a used one on eBay and had it done. I had multiple issues with my side mirrors which led me to buying a whole new set, that were unfinished, so they were next. Finally I did the B-pillar covers and am now done. It all goes nicely IMO with the black and silver theme in my car. I think it would look great on yours as well.

It is fascinating to watch, and more involved than I thought. I'm not sure of all of the steps, but at some point he would spray what looked to be black paint on the parts using a professional paint gun. Then maybe another step before doing the water transfer process. And eventually spray the parts with automotive grade clear and polish them with a small air powered buffer. They are really slick and durable when finished.

Thanks, d_s! It looks decent, but has issues like most of them. I'm following yours and Dino's threads on the seat inflators because I have the same problems. I also have the rear package tray rattle that you're tackling in addition to the pink/purple faded material. Early on I found if I keep the two outboard rear headrests up and the middle one down it minimized the rattle. My exhaust mods also help to mask some other minor rattles that I haven't yet worked on. Then there is the front seat clicking problem and outdated head unit....................

Just got mine 3 weeks ago, shot a few pics after the clay bar/wax session the other day. No mods yet, doing preventative maintence first and exhaust next month. This car is such a joy to drive... what a beautiful machine. She's a 2000 with 80k miles.

I Like what you've done to the engine cover.

Beautiful! Funny, having never seen a picture of your car I assumed it was silver! Love the Obsidian - I've seen a few in person. Did your car have COMAND originally? If so, after installing the aftermarket head unit how do you adjust the clock in the instrument cluster? Are there provisions in the head unit to do so? Magnecor wires?

I picked up a 2000 with 141k on the clock last month. Just had the headlights and wheels professionally refinished (first 2 pics). Last pick is prior to refinishing. Sold the white 1998 diesel (186k) because it was time for something with a little more grunt.
Engine strong but REALLY needs the suspension refreshed
