Plasti-dipped
Just had the car dipped matte grey along with new brakes, suspension, and a tune up. Let me know what you guys think.

What suspension set up did you go with?
There was matte E55 floating here in Texas sometime ago that could not be sold even with low milage although that one was painted I believe. Nice touch on blacking out the chrome. It helps the appearance.
I think to perhaps updating the lights may complete the look.

[QUOTE=Tall Giraffe;6424626]Sorry I did not mean that you would sell. I meant the Texas car was the last Matte E55 I have seen- bad wording. Yours looks better IMO.
No biggie and thanks for the compliment. For what i could get for the car it not worth selling. Id say i just spent 4-5K and its probably only worth that much. Its a great driver so i plan on driving it to the gound unless it has a major problem.

No the emblems are matte grey. Only parts on the the car done in black are the rims, exhaust tips, and front grill. The vents on the hood and the lower mesh grill on the bumper are still the original finish. I couldn't paint the lower mesh gills because i just bought new ones along with new fogs from the dealer and they were to much to paint. I think the little contrast looks pretty good. I'll post up some more pics in the next few day..

One little critic....loose the star and get a flat badge on the hood...that will give it a stealth look

Star looks nice, but if you have monkey children's rounding (like my neighborhood), you will find a -[chicken leg]- instead of this StaaaaaaaaaaaR..

I like it a lot.
But, I'd like the wheels to stay silver.
Report back in an hour after you removed the coating for me.
Tha-anks.
