Kleeman or Rolex Daytona
OK guys - you have about $6,000 or so burning a whole in your pocket. Do you drop your car off at Kleeman for some work (headers, etc.), or buy that stainless steel Rolex Daytona that you've been trying to find for years?

kleeman, i passed on a solid gold daytona for 11k a year ago (used but certified) you could get a two tone sub for 3k and buy headers from evo and have 1k left over!

The Daytona will hold it's value for many years to come...

Stainless Daytona -- no question
You can get the Kleemann stuff any day ... so, you'd just need to wait until your next bonus (or whatever pays for your toys) to get those mods done. Meantime, the SS Daytona won't wait. I like the SS Yacht-Master better myself, but the rarity of the SS Daytona means that you won't get another chance anytime soon.

If you have 6k burning a hole in your pocket it probably doesn't matter which you choose b/cuz it's "burning a hole in your pocket". I tend to think that if you have 6k at your disposal finding 12k to do both would be a cinch. Answer: do both.
PM me if you want to get a deal on a Daytona. I can hook you up.
PS I have both and enjoy the car much more than the watch.

I have both and speaking from experience, I'd say go KLEEMANN and let me get that SS Daytona off your hands
Heck, I'd pay you more than $6K and I'll give it to you in cash...I'll drive up to NJ and pay you!

the daytona a fine piece and it is will never fall in value. I stand by that watch and plan to buy one when my SS SeaDweller gets a few years under its belt.
The E55 is freaking fast enough as is. Get the watch
A SS daytona should go for nearly 10k in the current market. 10k is the inflated price due to demand and low production levels.

People will just say the first thing the comes into their head. If you think a Rolex is just a "mass produced diving watch", you need to think again. I guess that's just like all those people who think it's stupid to spend $80k car when you can just buy a Kia.

I'd say the watch for 2 reasons:
1. My cars will come and go, my watch will always be here, and i plan to hopefully pass it on someday.
2. I'm still shaky about having warranty problems with mods, i'm surprised more people dont' have issues with it.

Take the Rolex and forget about Kleemann. It would be a great days for MB cars when their owners will decide to buy a Rolex watch instead of Kleemann products.

Take the Rolex. To me a Rolex is much more valuable than car parts. My uncle wears a gold diamond studded Presidential that his father passed on to him. To the best of my knowledge that Rolex was given to my grandfather in law for his wedding gift, which was over 55 years ago.
My uncle proudly wears it everyday and it looked not a day old. Now that is a priceless watch! A car part will never have the same kind of value as a Rolex.

Cant believe that I am going to say this ........but
In terms of return on investment there is no contest.....
Get the Rolex - I am wearing a 25 year old Rolex passed on to me by my departed father - I had it seviced last year and the authorized dealer gave me an evaluation almost three times the original invoice (yeah I know, got to correct for inflation over 25 years). So the previous posters are all correct - the Rolex will definitely retain its value over time. But its still a watch and doesnt do anything different than a Casio will do - other than make the owner feel better about himself
Now, on the other hand the Kleeman kit will have almost no return on investment - but IT WILL DEFINITELY DO A TON OF STUFF that few other car can emulate. In terms of FUN return on investment - no contset - get the Kleeman - you wont ever stop smiling - every time you get in that car you will feel like a little kid again - and that feeling is PRICELESS
For me, when I look to make an investment - I need a return and I am unlikely to get it from a watch. But when I spend for fun - I dont care how fast it deperciates - I want that SMILE PLASTERED ACROSS MY FACE
Go shred some tires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would think since most of us have AMG cars that we would already have a Rolex. I am 38 and have had one for over 10 years and to me they are no big deal. I love wearing my TAG or the watch my wife bought me from Tiffany's better then my Rolex.
