Do we have lsd on ours E55?
I posted my burnout pics on the other forum, and we entered a discussion with one guy and he tells me how did you do two black lines when your car is not equiped with LSD.... So can someone answer me... do we have some kind of LSD or not? And why both wheel spinning then.... thanks! NOOB. :p

The only car the comes with the AMG LSD in the US is the SL65
MB thinks that the ESP button on our cars replaces a true LSD (NOT). Kleemann offers a great LSD (very similiar to a Detroit locker) locked all the time at a 60%.

Yeah, you are getting dual wheel spin Bob....just at the expense of ESP braking the wheel that is spinning, then shooting power over to the other wheel.
It's kinda freaky how it works but you do get 2 burnout marks on it....I guess you could call it pseudo LSD.
Kleemann LSD...so far so good. Like it. Was worried about too much lockup, but it feels fine on corners etc. Sometimes with too much lockup (Detroit Lockers) you pull into a parking spot and the rear goes tick, tick, tick, tick as the outside wheel skips to catch up.....really freaky.

Your best bet if you are able to get one is the AMG LSD offered in Germany for our cars which is a Salisbury LSD (open diff. unit). This allows for a much better streetable car which only locks up when wheels break traction. The OEM AMG LSD is a 30% lock up but Kleemann can modify to a 60%. They are doing this with the SL65 AMG.

04E55 AMG,
Have you received your AMG LSD from Harris yet? I am really looking forward to see if you like it or not.
