How much would you pay for 05 k3 w/lsd
Hello all,
I have an 05 e55 k3 w'LSD. The car has 750 miles on it. Pewter with Kleemann flat badge on the hood and everything else on the exterior is stock. The car gets faster and faster the more miles I put on it. Now, I am a horse power thirsty ***** and wanting to buy an sl65 and mod it up through kleemanns. I will post some pics when the weather gets better here in Ohio. I was wondering what I should sell the beast for. I probably have $115-$120 in it. Would anybody out there be interested?
Thanks,
Gianster

Well, if you must say so. Obviously you have no idea how much these upgrades cost. $95,000 for the e55. You probably don't take in mind the options and taxes. Over $13,000 in the K3 upgrades, With the LSD $2,400 and $5,000 for the exotic car waranty. The car has a 5 year waranty that overrides the mercedes waranty and shipment costs. Any other smart *** comments?

Ditto that. Unless you find someone who is looking for those exact mods, you will be hard pressed to get your money for your mods. I had the same issue when selling my 911 TT, but I waited over 6 months and found someone who wanted my exact mods. I would say if you found someone to give you anything over $90k's take it.
A buddy of mine just sold his 2005 E55 for mid 70K's.
Peter we are going to the track on the 13th, did you get my email?

Just to re-affirm what everyone has said already, you won't be able to get more then what you put in unless you sell the car to an idiot. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Good luck however in trying to get most of your money back. You'll need it for the pricetag on the SL

another opinion
I sold my '03 CL55 with Klemann K2 and Lorinsers and only lost about 2-3k after what I paid for the car plus mods. If you're willing to wait and you can market the car in the right places, you might find the right buyer.
Good luck...if you want to part anything out...feel free to contact me.

Sorry to say, but it will be VERY difficult to get more than average retail, even with the mods. Having sold several modded cars, I had to hold out a long time to find a buyer for some, and in some cases, I didn't get any interest until after I returned the car to stock condition. My MKIV Supra was an exceptional case where I got more than I paid for the car, but that's not considering I lost out when you factor the mods. Still, it took forever to find a buyer for that one.
I'd say maybe mid to high 80's for your car would be reasonable for your car. It's usually very difficult to get MSRP for a used vehicle, no matter the mods. People tend to be picky about how they mod their cars, and what you may think is ideal may not be for a potential buyer.
This is why I no longer buy my high end cars new. Too much of a depreciation hit in the 1st year. If I was you, I'd scoop up a low mile pre-owned SL65 next time around, and use the $20k, or so, that you save to go towards mods.
