From a roll beat a bullet bike?????

Just a Honda CBR of some kind....think 600 or 900...

Does this sound right.....

Roll from a light on open highway....get up to bout 45-50 and I see him crouch down and punch it....I do that same.

I expected the bike to slowly walk away and instead it was the other way around. Just slowly passing him til we got to bout 130, then we let off.

This doesn't sound right....is that even possible. He definitely punched it....maybe he let off or something.

Yes to a 600, I would bet on it. I see 600's run mid to low 12's down here. Probably not to a 900.

Yeah, just checked the numbers....most of the big 3 bike maker's sport models are pulling 10-11's.

Not sure what the heck happened.....

Wonder if those bikes are slower from 60-130....who knows. Maybe he just didn't wanna play.

I think that it's real tricky to launch those sport bikes. Ive run several through the years and have done fairly well against them even when they are trying. They tend to come around me at 90-100 when running nitrous. So far I haven't come across any when driving my E55.

I've raced many bikes before and beaten even CBR 900s (not in an AMG though) and my experience is that if you don't catch them from 0 mph, they are not as fast as what you would expect from a 10sec car. Off the line they are very very quick (with a skilled rider), but if you catch them in 2nd or 3rd gear on the roll, they are maybe as quick as 12/13sec cars. That is just my opinion.

for sure a 600 and we can kill them, I've raced 750gsxrs before(and because the riders weren't pro's) I stayed right with them and from about 125 pulled ahead. also raced a R1 he almost looped it and crashed but he collected himself and passed me like i was in neutral.

i've raced many bikes in the past with other cars i owned, they are definately fastest off the line ,from a roll especially above 60 mph where they are in third gear or above they can be beaten, even a 900 provided your car is a mid 12 sec. car or faster.they are also considerably slower with a passenger on them,an extra 100 lbs. or so on a 400-500lb. bike is a lot

Raced a street bike last night on Sepulvida. He walked away from me with no problems - from a roll and at a light. I know how to launch the car pretty well but he really had no problems keeping up, let alone passing me.

I have raced bikes two different times. First time we were on the Dallas Tollway and I noticed him coming up on me from behind. When he got just to my rear bumper in the lane next to me I floored it. Since he had increasing momentum he pulled just in front of me about 1-2 car lengths and then I just stayed at the distance until we hit 140. At 140 he looked back and left off the gas (as did I) until we were next to each other. He then gave me the big thumbs up and hit his brakes to get behind me. I saw him look over at my trunk deck and then he took off like a bullet. I'm guessing he had no idea a car could keep up with him and he had to see what the heck it was.

On another occasion I was driving in the city and a bike passed me so I floored it and caught up to him. At the next light I got lucky and we were both first in line. I gave him the big nod and he shook his head. When green came, I went and pulled out slightly ahead of him (I'm guessing I just had a better launch). He caught up to my tail and stayed with me but could not pass me (he was in the lane next to me, not behind me). We did not let off the gas until we pulled up to the next light. After I stopped he pulled up and raised his visor saying "what the hell do you have in that thing". I told him 500hp and he seemed pretty impressed.

The bikers seem to give a lot of respect to our 55's after they experience them on the road.

I'm sure he was in the wrong gear. 900 a good rider from 45 would walk a e55 to 130. 600 another sorry! I bet he want to see what the amg could do!!

You could probably beat any modern 600. I ride an R6 (Yamaha) and have ridden my friends R1 (1000 ccs). There is no way you could keep up with an R1 or any new 1000. Catch a bike off guard, you can get it. These bikes have to rev to make power. Launching is tricky as hell too. From a roll, you will probably lose.

Some of the 1000s are pulling 180hp stock, over 200hp with bolt on mods, on a 380 lb bike plus 180 lb rider. less than 3 lbs her hp. E55 has about 8-9
