Wood steering wheel and shifter
Do anyone know where i can find the wood and leather wheel for the e55?? Is there an upgraded shifter knob available also. For such a great car the factory seems to have been asleep on these two items....

My SL500 had the wood steering wheel and while I loved the look, I hated the feel (slippery)... I can understand the shifter, however I love the feel of the AMG's leather wrapped steering wheel on both my E55 and SL55.
Good luck!

I just love the warm smoothness of the wood when I touch it occasionally. The rest of the time , it's "white knuckles" on the grips...

Generally speaking I don't, but trust me your hands will find occassion to grab it during normal driving and it can be slippery...

Seriously, I've never experienced a trace of slipperiness with the MP Designs wheel, and I normally hold it at the correct 10 & 2 position, at the thickest portion of the wood grips.
