Dropped the beast off at the dealers to get the Kleemann IC mod and LSD installed.

Yo Bro,

Was not intrested in the small HP gain(would be very surprised if the HP is increased) compared to all the extra stuff that needed to be installed. I just wanted to slap on a better H20 pump that pushes 90L a min, versus the stock 16L to maintain my current power and help with the heat. Testing has shown during testing that the number on a car that was dynoed 18 times in a row had the same HP & Torque as it did on the first run.

As you know the main purpose of this mod is to maintain your current power. You may be disappointed if you expect a real HP gain from it. I would love to see how your car dyno's with the IC mod versus your stock Stage 2 dyno's that you have.

Crushed.....I had you beat in 0-60 and trap speed big daddy last time out. My last run would of been in the 11.7's and you know that.

I will let you know when Kim gives me dates for us to tag along with a other group after we have both our respective mods installed.

04E55,

Did you finally get the AMG LSD or is it the Kleemann LSD you are having installed?

Sad to say the AMG LSD still was not in so I pulled the trigger on the Kleemann LSD since everthing else on my car is Kleemann and I have all that power with the K2. I will still keep trying to get my hands on one and compare how each one performs.

I had the dealer just remove my whole diff and ship in to Kleemann for the install. It should only take Cory about 1hr to do and next day it to me.

You are correct, this will make a huge positive improvement with regards to heat soak problems. As we all know, we start losing power after a few runs on a dyno but being able to run 18 in a row and still have your 18th run be as strong as your first is AWESOME.

This is a inexpensive way which requires very little installation time to get more out of our cars. It does not matter if your car is stock or modded, we can all benefit from less heat soaking.

Mike, i'm also debating between both. I think Spero's point is that the Kleemann is a much less "invasive" install. The 15 or so HP is nice, if in fact that's what it will give you, but what i'd like to know is which solution does a better job reducing temps. Besides, unless you are constantly at the track, i'm not sure it's worth the $$ and all the extra parts on my car. Who knows, I may end up with the Evo, but i'll wait 'till you two get yours done and see what you think.

NA yet until Denmark produces them is what I was told by Cory. He had a few extra in the shop and was kind enough to give me one. I basically drove him nuts and kept reminding him of all the referrals I have sent him and the $$$$ I have already spent with the K2.

It worked

the klee keeps you in the engine cooling circuit and the evo separates the 2 circuits. being able to easily run water wetter and water only in warm times versus draining some out of the whole system with the klee to add antifreeze. plus the evo upg is low pressure so you can open it anytime. as far as extra parts you get what you should want. another larger heat exchanger in front of the stock unit which is still incorporated. so if you have the hot engine water being circulated faster with the klee its still hot engine water. versus a gallon or so of ww and water where probably 70% of which is always in the heat exchangers. alot closer to ambiant air temp more of the time is the advantage i saw.

Good question and I have no idea. Cory just sent it to me to see what I think and will charge me later.

2003 E55 AMG
I've got an EVO IC upgrade waiting for me.. It was supposed to ship today, but I think it will ship out Monday.

I chose it because, like PeterB said, it separates the cooling circuits and from what Brad was telling me drops the intake temps DRAMATICALLY.

Both mods will dramatically drop intake temps. I also spoke with Brad and have a good relationship with him and have referred customers his way. Evo makes a great prodcut and he offered me a sweet deal on the IC mod but still the cost of mod and the 9-10 hours labor versus the cost of a simple pump swap made more sense to me for my everyday driving and rare visits to the track.

You can not go wrong with either tuner products, just depends on what you are looking for and how much you want to spend.

Where is the current pump located and how long did Cory tell you it should take to swap out with the new one?

Pump is located in the same place as stock with its own brackets. The dealer took less then 2 hours to install the complete mod. The kit comes with new brackets to support the larger pump and hoses.
