hello
When the E55 first went into production in Germany (before US versions were available) AMG refused to produce E55's with the pano roof option. They said it weakened the cars chassis too much and was not something they wanted to offer for amg series production.
Then i hear people stared asking for it and they changed their minds. If they questioned it to begin with I think it should be skipped as a feature.
I have been to a Benz tack day and there were 20 or so E500's there and you can feel the cars with Pano roof flex a little more than those without. If you can feel it in a car with 300 hp I bet you REALLY can feel it in cars with 500 .
Plus with time people say the pano roof begins to squeak and sound very cheap. The seals need to be changed and greased every year on some cars.
I failed to order the option BUT I do love be in in a car with that feature. If you don't plan to push the E55 very hard that often why not get it. It's a sled already and you really can't change that!
