4th of july kill

A well ridden, new 600 supersport will run low 10s. One of the cycle rags had Gadson strap an R6 (I think it was the R6) and he ran 9s on it. They're no joke.
What does your 1k run? (I ride a 'Busa, BTW
)EDIT - I didn't want it to sound like I didn't believe the original poster, there are plenty of poorly ridden bikes out there

You know jack about bikes. How long you been ridin? How many bikes ya own?Ive been ridin 30 yrs,and I own a Busa w 220rwhp,and 5 other big-HP bikes.Guess that makes me a squid too after your last response huh.
I have ALL THE RESPECT in the world for these(and other)hi-HP, hi-performance cars.Fact of the matter is simple.Power to weight ratio. There is NO E55 that will beat a properly ridden modern sportbike.Meaning newer 600's & up.You catch a squid who cant ride, consider yourself lucky(like ya did)and walk away with a kill. You line up against me,your dead.
I'm at the track with the bikes 3 times a month.I see 600's run low 10's and a handful are running high 9's.60' times are in the mid 140's-150's.Your E55 leaves the line that hard???
Its all good bro,be happy with your kill.

Some people's kids
Pretty hard to get those 10 sec runs that Cycle World etc boasts of, as they are not point and shoot machines. Not to mention, once you launch, you still gotta feather the friggin throttle to keep front end from rising up on ya again.
Guy was probably not much of a drag racer and was used to "just cranking the throttle from a roll and winning 95% of the time"
Not taking anything away from ya bro, just experienced racer would have torched you....me....even pulled on Derek. Most bikers really aren't and thus the outcome....we often win.
Just 2 cents.
Still think you embarrassed the hell outta the guy.

Where did you surprise the 600...Ugeen or PDX?.
By any chance was it a blue RI ridden by a fellow in white and red Ku****ani's?.

I don't think I am a good rider.... but bikes are for sure a lot more fun than cars
Seriously though;I do agree with what yer sayin about alot of riders not being able to ride.Catch a guy on a 600 with his rpm's down & he'd have to downshift at least twice to catch up to an E55.
Without hi-jackin yer thread....
On the flip side, all I get is foolish kids tryin to run me on my Busa every time Im out.You know, the kind that drive Imports with 3ft tall wings& 6" diameter fart cans stickin out the back.I have yet to cross paths with anything worthy of more then 3rd gear.Except one.... an 900hp Supra on I-78 that gave up as we approached 190mph.I had yet to shift into 6th.....

Nonetheless, that bike has gone 211 on GPS(different gearing then what I run at the track though)....But it would be fun to play!!!

i've had to many trips to Vegas this year and the cobwebs are still pretty thick upstairs if you know what i mean, you guys mean 'Hayabusa's' jeez i'm a idiot that went right over my head with the abreviation of 'busa'( i frign thought it was some euro weird bike i never heard of)
you have to have big ***** to right that big dog!!
but seriosly heres my real world feed back to everyone i know in the 1/4 mi the bikes are faster but i've done speed runs with friends of mine and heres the low down 600's always beat'em at first then around the 1/4 mi they catch up and pull ahead then at around 125 the 55 starts pulling back ahead
with the 750's they smoke ya at first not by alot but enough and at around 125 the 55 starts catching and ive passed my boyz gzr 750 at 135mph
these are stock bikes.
1000's -r1's etc just put your tail between your legs and pray he doesn't want to race you!! lololol had a guy in sacramento CA st race me his decals were off so i really couldn't tell it was a R1 but we punched it he almost flipped his bike over!! it was straight up and down his legs were flalling all over-- i pulled ahead by 2.5 car lengths then he slammed down and caught up like i was stopped and then he missed 3rd gear! ahhh i was laughing then i pulled ahead again 1.5 car lengths and then he got his **** together and passed me like i was stopped at a light or somthing it was embarressing but funny as hell to watch that guy i thought he was gonna kill himself!.
