I have seen a consitent # for the E55 hp. Ive seen 469, and that website it says 476 and ive heard 500. WHAT IS IT!!??!!??!!??

For marketing purposes its 469. Technically speaking for those who have dynoed the cars, it has been shown to produce around 500hp. This is the same engine that is offered in the S55, SL55, CLS55. I guess they did not want the E55 stepping on the sales of the S55 for some reason.

476 HP DIN or 368 HP SAE. Either way, still ONLY 350 kW Metric!

Correct on all but SAE HP: 476 HP DIN or more correctly stated 476 PS - the PS was adopted by Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) as a measurement of horsepower = 469 HP SAE = 350 kW metric.
