Video / Audio AUX

I'm getting a EURO Command from Steve MBENZNL and wondering if there's any way to hook up video/audio aux. I know that we have the aux for audio in the glovebox but is there any way once having the euro command that we can hook up video/audio

He can do an A/V adapter, I am waiting to get mine installed on his next trip. You might e-mail him to see if you can get one for your model. I just wanted a DVD player, so I opted not to get the pricey TV tuner option.

I believe the only way to get AUX inputs for video is to buy a OEM TV Tuner from Steve. I got the whole package installed by Steve and I couldn't be happier!

Steve offers an A/V adapter without the need for the tuner. The tuner is better in quality, but the other is available for my car at least.

I have a mini harddisk player that stores 40gbs of video/audio and it plays divx/xvid and all sorts of media files. I have alot of movies and music vids on it. I hooks up to any tv with the 3 plug composite (i think that's what it's called) - (yellow / white / red plug). So I would loose video quality going witht he AV adapter insted of with the TV tuner? Does anyone know the prices for them? What's the difference in price between them? The nice thing about this portable player is not only it's mini in size (same size as the IPOD) it also has a remote control and allows me to play all my divx/vid vids. I would hate to burn all my music vids and movies on DVDR.

I have one of those from Archos (AV400) and I put all my TV shows and stuff on it. Much cheaper than having to burn a whole bunch of DVDs.

I don't think you'll loose much in quality as the COMAND screen is so small. I think you'd be hard pressed to see the difference between the two options.

The price difference in my case was about $800.00. I would probably never use the TV tuner, and that is the reason that I opted to go the A/V adapter route. I have yet to get it installed, but I still think the quality will be descent.

So the A/V Adapter costs.... roughly? Can I just get one anywhere or do I have to get it from Steve? Is it DIY or requires Steve to do it?

thanks guys for answering whatever you can so promptly!

It was between $300 and $400, I just can remember exactly. I would send Steve an e-mail for specifics on your model car. I think that it is something that you need to get from Steve, but don't quote me on that. I let him install anything related to electronics for my own piece of mind, and it may need version coding via the Star system to video in motion etc.

I was quoted $1500 for the tv tuner (oem) in addition to the $1500 for the new euro head unit.

John has a D2B comand...for that we have video adapters.

The W211 comand is different though and we only offer TV tuners for those...the TV tuner comes with 2 sets of RCA jacks for aux in.
Prices for the installed TV tuners depend on what one gets in combination with the TV tuner and wether one wants us to use original antenna amplifiers or aftermarket antennas.
