Crap... Got a ticket today!
79km/h in a 50km/h zone at 8.30am. ****ty thing is I'm usually never driving at this time. The pig was an A$$ and gave my friend the passenger a $138 fine for not wearing his seatbelt. My ticket was $200 CAN. Second ****ty thing was that my radar was sitting underneath the passenger seat. I had it there for a few days since I cleaned the car and just stored it there and just was lazy to take it out and use it. haha serves me better to buy one and not use it. First Speeding ticket in 6years.. Gonna have to fight this one.

Can speeders be turned into a non-moving violation for a few extra $$$ up there? My last ticket many years ago became a loud muffler ticket and didn't mean anything other than a dent in my wallet.

Try to reschedule the court date once or twice. If you see the cop showing up, save the time and just pay up then.

7100 Granville.. I forgot the cross street.. It was a moto cop. He parked his bike somewhere and hide in the bushes with his radar. Wasn't even laser. The problem was I didn't even have my radar. If I did, forsure I would of gotten it and slowed down. He jumped right outta the bushes onto the street in front of my car, I almost ran him over.

Yeah, I always have the V1 on when travelling on Granville. No false alarm from 16th to Park making it a nice stretch.

There are plenty of things you can fight...
- Basic Speed Law
- Posted speed limit artificially low
- Was the officer's speed gun calibrated correctly
- Does the officer have enough hours of training for the equipment used to track your speed, etc, etc.
...the list goes on if you're creative and they work. At the least if these don't work, then best case, the officer doesn't show up in court which is what happened in my case when I went to court 3 days ago. My ticket was dismissed! But don't think that you don't have any leverage when it comes to fighting your ticket.
